So! Bullet dodged...we had to compile a list of names/driver license info for any non-military guests for B's party this weekend. The bowling alley people asked us to have the list to them this past Monday, then they would forward it to the Pass Office for approval.
DH went to base this afternoon to make sure everything was squared away. Surprise! Pass Office had never gotten the list from the bowling alley. Fortunately the security guys were able to get it turned around since DH had dated emails, etc.
Tonight DH gets an email from the butthead at the bowling alley, who informs us that 'sadly your access request list never made it to the Pass Office so unfortunately your guests will not be able to make it onto base'. WTF, dude. It kind of made me wonder if this guy did it on purpose for some reason? I don't know why he would do that, but I also don't know why he wouldn't just forward the list we sent? I mean, don't advertise that you do parties/special events if you're not willing to do your job.
Thank goodness DH went and checked today. We are working on a politely worded response to call Butthead out on his ineptitude.

Im heading home from my work holiday party in an Uber. Today is the first time I ubered alone so I had to let 10 IRL friends and all of you know in case I go missing.

My work party was fun. I sat with my usual group but chatted with everyone, we one a $100 Visa gift card as a door prize, and my final Yankee Swap gift was some sort of smart notepad thing. Not a bad night.

Im heading home from my work holiday party in an Uber. Today is the first time I ubered alone so I had to let 10 IRL friends and all of you know in case I go missing. Let us know when you get home  I kind of hate Ubering (lack of control) but DH loves it, plus we get credit with our Amex cards so it's free. We did it last night and the driver who picked us up at our house was so quiet it was kind of strange. I texted my mom all pertinent info in case we went MIA. |

I felt to do a months worth of Overnights again mid January. This time my mom will come out and help with the kids. Thank god.

flamingo Butthead is putting it nicely. How dare he not forward the list and then wait until the afternoon before the party and just say- Sorry/not sorry, instead of trying to fix his mistake. Please be a little petty when you call him out.

Wahoo for being a winner joelies! Do you ever win that kind of stuff? Our clan has had more luck in recent years to offset years of losing. However I think I shared years ago when I won the "big" prize at our Christmas party. It was this huge homemade decoration and, to put it nicely, NMS. I put my acting skills to use with my reaction. |
