Morning. I was doing okay, but all of a sudden felt really sad again today. Lots of errands today, groceries, swim class, those kind of things.

Morning! Wet and dreary here too. I'm supposed to be watching my niece's but I woke up with a horrible sore throat. It's probably from weather but she's keeping them home just to be safe.

Speech, then a WM run to pick up my grocery order. That’s about it for my agenda today.

Misty here as well, which I swear, when I looked at my weather app, it showed 0% chance of precip today, so I took my husbands car. Well, it lied. It drizzled on me the entire drive to work. So I'm going to watch it and probably take the car home at lunch, fill it with gas and wash it on the way.

Yesterday I had an appointment for Evie to get her pictures with Santa. She was such a shit, we couldn't agree on anything for her to wear. H kept saying to let her go in what she had on...jeggings and a Minnie Mouse tshirt. Um, these are professional pictures, we spent over $100 on these pictures last year, no, she can dress up. Except none of the dresses she has are winter wear, so we went to Target and couldn't agree on anything. We left Target empty handed and I paid $25 to cancel the session. I'm so disappointed. I don't have any kind of professional pictures for Christmas cards, the calendars I do every year for the Grandparents.

I never get good professional pics.  I have started just leaning in, and only using candids for all those things.  B's school pic this year was actually good (and christmasy) so I spent forever trying to get a good sibling wintery pic to go with it for the card and couldn't.  So my card is a hodge podge of various pics from the year.

Case of the mondays here...it’s raining and the garage door is still not fixed, so I was trying to minimize trips in and out of the driveway while I carried in groceries. I had my arms full and haphazardly set a bag down on the counter, it fell on the floor, and an econo-size jug of kids’ bubble bath split open and went EVERYWHERE. 🤬🤬🤬

So I’ll be here til 2020 cleaning this up if anyone needs me...

My mom is having a real sucky pet month. So first her little dog had a stroke, she is actually recovering really well, which is surprising. Well, her big dog, an overweight Rhodesian Ridgeback, has cancer on her head. It's this weird growth that grew and then fell off, then grew back, fell off, and is back again, all in a matter of a few weeks. The vet told my mom it was a skin tag at first, then my mom took pictures and sent them to him and he said, yeah, we need to do surgery. So that is set for Wednesday. Then one of her cats came home late last night in serious pain, limping. Well, he woke up with morning completely paralyzed in his back legs, so she is going to go ahead and put him down. He's an old senior cat that she has had for 9 years and the owner before her had him for several years, so who knows how old he actually is.
On Wednesday, if everyone could please put my mom's dog in their thoughts cause if she loses that dog she will be devastated.

mwhip sorry the pics didnt work out, there is so much pressure to get the perfect pic this time of year, especially with Christmas cards. I had the same stress last weekend and it was not delightful

Oh geeze, I dont know if I can handle anything else sad, I finished a Prime movie this morning on the way into work and with my lack of sleep last night the sadness was amplified. So I'll be saving the sad videos for later.

mwhip, just do what I did, take your kid into the back yard with a scarf, instant snow, and candy canes and see what you can get out of it. I was able to get some cute ones and make our card out of it.

and I can't even do pics outside right now...our temps are falling into the 20s today with bad wind gusts. We are going to meet at a city building that has a large Christmas tree, then go to our historic downtown to a couple shops we know are open and see what we get. I mean, I am waiting til the last minute, but what 6 year old doesn't want to talk to Santa?

If we get a few decent pictures tonight, then I will laugh and remind her of this every fucking Christmas to come.

I'm disappointed about potentially having to scrap the tradition I have created the last 5 years and spending money on nothing.

it's called 'Keith' on Prime.  It came up as a recommended and I just cannot get into the cheesy Christmas movies this year so I've been watching random b rated movies, and they've all turned out to be not bad.  A little slow and definitely B list actors but the stories are not bad.  I Remember You was another one.

Hi! I’m trying to come out of this funk. Yesterday I felt so tired all day. Like I could close my eyes and nap all day long. It was weird. Like normally I will just feel lazy, but I actually felt fall asleep tired. I got nothing done. Today I need to do all the stuff I didn’t do yesterday and then some. MH took both kids so I slept in. I think I’m going to need to get an energy boost of some sort.

And I just remembered I have an appointment for M to get his well check after school this afternoon and I have to bring M2 along for the flu shot. Better get moving.
