Just ordered my white elephant gift, all of C’s Christmas gifts except for the one the kids get him. Lo likes to buy it. Now I’m getting dressed and going to take both kids grocery shopping.

Heading to the Nutcracker this afternoon. I woke up with red gross eyes, AGAIN. I don't think it's actually pink eye though, I think it's just my allergies. I went ahead and used the magic drops and I'm wearing my glasses until it's time to leave.

Our dog got out while I was gone and I guess he got into someone's coy pond so we have some mad neighbors and will probably be getting a bill for coy pond repair...

Has M had her tonsils out tgrimes , I can't remember. DH had strep so frequently as a kid that they said if he got it one more time, his tonsils would come out. B had strep a couple times and used to catch every. little. thing (and colds and such really lingered when he would get them). Since he got his tonsils and adenoids out he's like a different kid. Interestingly he was the ONLY one in our house to not get sick right before T'giving when the rest of us were down for the count. So I was just curious if that was something y'all could pursue at some point if she keeps getting strep. |

sands42 Glad y’all got moved in. I’m still unpacking almost six months later. 🙄 Starting work as soon as I moved didn’t give me the time I needed to do it when I was motivated. Hope you can get rid of all the boxes! Also, was everyone else surprised? I think you mentioned only your parents knew.

He told both my sisters and then one of my aunts. And then my grandma was sick so that aunt told her to cheer her up and her husband told my other aunts. Etc etc etc lol. I did get to surprise one friend.... her husband helped me. So that was fun! |

Speaking of that, did I tell y’all t. Nurse for the infectious disease immunologist called me Friday night? She said she spoke to the dr and since all of his blood work from May was normal, except the IgM levels, she wants to do allergy testing. I’m a little annoyed by this since the ENT has been adamant that it’s not allergies. Who knows, maybe he’s wrong, but we tried Zyrtec for over a year and there was no change. Maybe he needs something stronger or something, if it is indeed allergies.
I’m still pushing to have his strep titers tested again and his immunoglobulin levels checked. I just need all of this done before the end of the year when our insurance changes...

Dh is at the big Patriots game tonight with my dad, uncle, and cousin. C and I painted ornaments and have been watching Christmas shows since. We are leaving soon to meet my mom for dinner. My big plan today was to turn the roofed part of the swing set into a cat shelter. Unfortunately I need a staple gun and don’t have one so I need to wait until I can borrow one from my parents.
The neighbor across the street from me has basically bred cats for years, unintentionally. She gives away the kittens but it appears she lets other kittens outside and a stray colony has formed. There’s a very sweet tiger cat that she says is not hers but when Animal control recently came he was included in the group and got fixed with her cats so.... I also heard she hid a pregnant mom cat in her house. 😤 I’m glad he got fixed but she sucks.
Anyway it’s super cold and he lives entirely outside. He tries to come in everyone’s houses all the time although I’m sure he would not like being an indoor cat. He’s been around for years and hangs on our play set a lot after he peeks in on our cats. Oh and the neighborhood named him Paul which cracks me up.
Aside from the cold I always worry a new neighbor will take him to a shelter or rescue. While I think he would be a cool cat to own, he requires someone savvy because he gets overexcited and bites at times. If that happened at a shelter it’s a one way ticket to being put to sleep. At a rescue he likely wouldn’t be adopted because of it or adopted and returned. I think he is very happy in his life.

My cough hasn't improved but I at least managed a bit of a nap while Chase was down. Chase is also pretty suck but in a better mood today.
Now DH is pressuring Colin to wiggle his loose tooth - the replacement is almost completely grown in so we'd prefer if it came out on its own, and soon. This will be his first. He gets super enthused and then gets really weird and scared. Poor kid.
Not looking forward to the weekend ending. I probably need to work from home for a day or two until I'm feeling a bit better. No need getting other people sick.

Wrapped all the gifts we have gotten so far and hid the Santa ones until the big night. I also put together the gingerbread houses so Logan can decorate them. 2 didn’t make it but 2 others did, sort of. I’m in the middle of laundry and E just woke up from her nap. She’s excited because she can listen to her shows versus dealing with Logan’s song-less shows.

Back from the Nutcracker. It's interesting to see the changes they have to make according to who they have dancing. Last year had a couple of young boys, this year there was only 1!
Cadence wants to be Clara.
Now we're chilling at home. Cadence said she would clean her room, but instead she is just vegging in there on her tablet.
