We decorated the tree this morning then I did some Christmas shopping alone. I only got to Modells and Target but I spent a ridiculous amount of money. I’m now with DD at a rock climbing birthday party. I got caught in traffic between shopping and bringing her to this party so I haven’t eaten and I’m starving. I was going to leave her here and run to the mall but mall traffic was crazy so I didn’t really have time. I did make lots of lists of what I need to do and I feel like I’m in a pretty good place between DH’s shopping yesterday and mine today. DS plays at 9:30 tonight so I’m hoping to write my next paper for my class while they are there and the others are asleep.

We took the kids out for subs and C got a long nap this afternoon; I have chicken enchiladas in the oven for dinner and we're watching the SEC championship game.

So earlier this fall I sold some reindeer Xmas jammies in a FB resale group. Just now I was perusing FB and a post popped up of someone selling that same style PJs, but different sizes (not the actual pairs I sold). I realized they were the photos that I took for my listing. Which a) kind of sketchy that she did not photograph the actual items she was selling and b) call me Petty Betty but those were my pics, lol. So I PMed her and was like, "Hey, I think those are my photos; you should probably take your own to be fair to buyers". She responded and was like, "I'm not sure, they were on my phone".

Umm, you either know if you took those pics or not, it's my rug in the background, and if you search my name those exact photos pop up. But w/e, lady.

I’m exhausted. I took a 45 minute nap after I dropped my niece off and then I had to take the girls to the birthday party since DH wasn’t home in time. It was a swimming party at a hotel and both girls kept being brats because the only kids they knew at the party were the birthday girl and her little brother. I felt bad for them but they could have played nicely with each other instead of sitting on the side for no reason. There were way too many 6 year old girls there, I had a headache from the noise by the time I left. I came home before DH so I could shower and I’m going to sleep shortly. This time I’ll set my alarm and hopefully sleep until it goes off at 4:30.

kim22 😱 that’s exactly one of the reasons I have one-click (or whatever it’s called) turned off. I don’t think H could actually figure it out without seeing one of us do it first though either. And I’d definitely notice that much money missing.

flamingo I’d report her posts so they get taken down. Who even knows if she has those pjs without her own photographic evidence. Sounds like a scammer to me.

Thanks for the well wishes on the belt test. It went well overall. I didn't screw up on anything and our family form demo went well. So it was a success. I was so worn out though. I'm used to intense workouts and after one form I felt like I was going to pass out.

The military event was kind of lame but there was an amazing balloon artist there so the girls got cool creations.

I can respect a balloon artist, but fucking ventriloquists, man I get the strongest German embarrassment when I see one of those assholes. Them, mimes, and clowns are on my don't get near me list. I've always wondered if there is actually a woman out there who would shag a ventriloquist because holy hell--just no.

I haven't really posted. I was not happy with the funeral service. It didn't do her justice at all. I don't feel like I can cry and let it all out until A is home with me. So all of my emotions are right at the surface and I'm not in a great place. One of my uncles that we had a falling out with 16 years ago showed up. And he pretty much ambushed me and hugged and kissed me. Twice. In the moment I just walked away to keep the peace. But the more i think about it the more pissed off i get. He didn't apologize or say a word. Just came up behind me and before i could even tell who he was, latched on to me. TWICE. I can't stop thinking about it and I'm mad at myself for not saying something.

I’m wiped after today’s events. I went through some boxes earlier to start to clean out the garage then the festival. We didn’t even think about a stroller, M2 wanted to be carried the whole time, lines for the rides were super long, and I was freezing. It was colder than I expected and I do not do cold well. Not ideal. Of course I couldn’t get a good pic of them together, but I did get decent pics of them separate. I guess I’ll have to do a different card layout this year.

I'm sorry it's been tough peachsmama. Keep in mind most funerals no matter how well done really can't capture how wonderful the deceased was. It's just a short snapshot. You'll honor your grandma and her memory every time you share stories about her with your kids, when you find yourself doing/saying something just as she would have.

Ugh to the creepy uncle. It's always easy to think of retorts later to situations that catch us off guard in the moment. Certainly don't feel guilty for his behavior.

I must have been in a rush on Thanksgiving eve when I made our cards and I chose linen paper instead of card stock. The pictures don’t look right, and the cards are flimsy.
I’m so disappointed in myself, and kind of embarrassed to send the cards out.
CVS has a same-day option for cards but I already ordered so many, and I don’t want to spend another small fortune, and I also don’t know their quality.

guster - I got super flimsy cards a few years ago and DH - who does not help with the cards at all - has never let me forget it. He also hates how much I spend on them each year but as long as his friends (really their wives) are sending them, I know he wants to as well. Cards are so stressful!

We are being fairly lazy, although I did have B work on some birthday T-Y notes. I think DH has some yard work on the agenda since it’s not quite as cold today.

I reported the weirdo FB woman to the group admin. I don’t know if she’s a scammer, or just lazy and kinda dumb, but she broke the group rules so 🤷🏻‍♀️

inthekitty I’m laughing at your list of mimes, ventriloquists and clowns. I am a hard no on all. My SIL and a colleague dressed as mimes for Halloween (they’re preschool teachers) and I found the costumes terrifying, Lord only knows what the kids thought.

Morning. I’m at work. I was 1 minute late because I couldn’t force myself out of bed. Oh well, I’ve got a good track record so it’s fine. After I get home from work I plan to take a nice long nap. I might try to get a pic of the girls for the Christmas card before I do but we’ll see how they’re behaving.
