Anyone else's LO having trouble with friends?
DS has his acquaintances but from what I gather, he doesn't really have good friends just yet.
He told us a couple of weeks ago that he'd like to invite 3 "friends" to this entertainment place in town. We said great! Wow! Bc Everytime I'd ask if he'd like to do a playdate with someone, he said he didn't really have anyone he'd want to do that with.
So one kid's parents never reached out. Another arrived late (this was yesterday.)
When both kids got there, they did laser tag altogether but then when it came to the arcade, the two ran off & stood by each other practically the whole time. Then they had the nerve to come find me while I'm keeping DS company to ask for more game credits. Like, no.
The final straw was towards the end, I asked them if they wanted to do a final thing of laser tag. They said no & went on to walk around the prize shop forever. DS wanted to do laser tag & was sitting there all lonely & sad. At that point, I texted the one's grandma & said he's not interested in laser tag anymore so you can come get him.
When she came, this kid was going on & on about the other kid that was invited, not DS who made this day happen.
I'm like at a loss.
Both parents separately said about doing this again, etc but in my head I'm like hell no.
Your kid totally just left mine behind the whole time, why would I sign up for this again?!
It made me sad & I'm more feeling some type of way because there's nothing I can do about it.
