guster I have never been a smoker...but also enjoy the smell of tobacco occasionally. I always thought I was strange for that. Glad I’m not alone 😉. MH will occasionally smoke a cigar or a pipe and I always tell him it smells good. Lol.

I’ve made it home. I stopped on the way and picked up pizzas for lunch and dinner because I have no desire to cook. Now I need to get laundry going, build a fire, and unpack. MH will be home from his trip this evening and will be home for just over a week before he leaves again for another 12 days.

A leaves tomorrow for 10 days and has to leave at 3 am so no dinner. his mom is watching the boys so we can go to lunch and do a little shopping. Happy Birthday! Where is he off to? Work related or fun? Hope you enjoy your afternoon together before he leaves! Same job site he has been on for 2 years. But its shutting down for 10 days for maintenance so he'll be working 10 16 hour days in a row. So hes got a hotel there because its 1.5 hours from our house. |

It's party day and as usual I'm a bit anxious about how it will play out. It's a joint party at Pump it Up and a Hodge podge of guests from prek, J's class, prek, n's class, and neighbors.
Currently trying to get them both to nap so they aren't overtired🤞🤞

On our way home from Frozen. The kids seemed to enjoy it; I haven’t seen the first one in its entirety so I can’t really compare the two, but I think the music from the first one has more staying power. There was an 80s power ballad scene that had DH and I kind of chuckling, but no one else was so not sure if they are hardcore Frozen fanatics or just missed the reference.
Sitter texted to confirm she’ll be here at 6:15, I am looking forward to Italian.

We went to get Santa photos. E is scared of Santa and we waited over an hour. Never again will I go without C. Not fun.

My stomach has been queasy all day. When I don’t feel great the only thing I want is soup, so I’m at a Thai place waiting on my Thai noodle soup. Told the guys I was going out for groceries- which is true, I just made a pit stop for a late lunch.

Speaking of Santa. When we stopped at the outlets to go to The Nike store yesterday, we were bum-rushed by Santa. He was in the info center and as we were making it to the side walk I look up and he is waving to the kids and telling them to come in for the pic. It took me a second to realize what was happening. M ran inside and sat right on his lap. I was holding M2 and didn’t care to let him join, but then he pulls out a candy cane and tells M2 to come sit, so M2 hops down and joins in. Then Santa is like look at the camera and starts doing different poses with the kids and asks us if we want to join. We declined. It happened so fast and Mh and I were just like a dear in headlights. The pics were overpriced so we didn’t buy them, but it was the strangest Santa encounter we’ve ever had.

Happy birthday peachsmama! I started this post at like 9 and just realized I never posted it 🤦🏻♀️ I finally got my tree fluffed and the girls helped me decorate it. I also worked to clean up so I could get the rest of my decor out. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who knows how to pick up in this house. |

So sad tomorrow is back to reality over here. We went downtown today and they have this amazing clear heated tent building (for lack of better words) set up with a big bar, gorgeous Christmas decorations, comfy couches, big games of Jenga/checkers/ect. It was the perfect hang out spot. We are going back soon with just the big kids because there's a big outdoor ice rink they want to try that'll be much easier without A!

trtlcrzy I know how you feel on the cleaning. Cadence just complains and then piles everything up and mh throws shit away without asking. It's just easier for me to do it myself. Of course then when I clean a room, I turn around and it's trashed again. So frustrating!

Party was fine. We had one girl email right before saying they could come after all and one friend cancel bc of a fever, and our neighbors were no shows and no text🤔. N was impressively fearless and had a great time despite only one of her friends coming (there were a few younger siblings invited though).
Poor K hasn't had a solid nap all day, but was a trooper. Tomorrow I have my Mohr surgery and it's my first day being away from k, so need to make sure milk is defrosted and I have my pump ready. I bought some formula in case I can't keep up with her. I was hoping to try costco Kirkland formula bc people like it, but apparently they just introduced a new version and reviews aren't great, so sticking with what n used if we need it.

Lunch and shopping was fun. We took our Christmas card pictures after and I got those ordered. I spent way to much... but they're adorable. DH is packing. 10 days solo sounds like fresh hell.... but we're going to go stay with him one night half way through. Mostly because they have a indoor pool at his hotel lol. We did the mrs. Claus box after dinner and the boys lived the Lego advent calendar. Now my favorite birthday tradition, watching Elf 😁
