Post one GIF that sums up your birth story (or your participation in your partner's birth, or meeting your adopted child, or whatever applies to you)!

H: 46 hours from water breaking to birth, 32 hours of active labor. Time wasn't linear during those days, I swear.

Almost 3 hours of pushing, unmedicated no less. also My water broke while I was in the tub, and there was meconium in it, so I was taking a poop bath. and then my newborn pooped all over me while we were doing skin to skin after she was born.

Lots and lots of time: Then having 10-15 people run into my room because C's stats dropped on the monitors and them telling me to calm down. Placing the epidural, but still feeling pain in my hip and every contraction. Then they tell me to lay on the side that's painful for 5-6 hours because it's less stressing to the baby. Why did I bother with the epidural? And finally falling asleep between contractions while pushing.

Oh I'm supposed to explain things? (note: dont google surgery gifs) The instructions I provided said "one gif," but it doesn't really matter, so all bets are off. There are no rules. And I won't!

Ds2 was born less than 4 hours after I felt the first contraction. So something like this without the reptile:

R: wanted a natural, unmedicated birth. Labor stalled, she never dropped, pitocin made me swell and lose 1/2 a centimeter in dilation, and the epi sucked and didn't help. Ended up with a c/s because she just wasn't coming out

Boy#3 C passed out during my csection and I spent the entire surgery trying to talk him though it. C just corrected me. He fully passed out for #2. Only had to go sit down and put his head between his knees for #3. Poor middle children. I can't even keep their birth stories straight.

I had two scheduled, uncomplicated c-sections. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I was told to walk straight over to the hospital, and I was completely unprepared. We're still oscillating between those two.

Got to the hospital at 5:30 am for my induction. Took full advantage of being allowed to have Italian ice. After a few hours, I asked for my epidural. I flinched the first time they tried and got reprimanded by the anesthesiologist. For try #2, all I could do to keep from flinching was focus on the giant tear hanging from my eyelashes. My blood pressure dropped really low, so they were checking it what felt like every 30 seconds and freaking out. The resident broke my water. I pushed for 3 hours with no success. Baby B's head was blocking Baby A's way out. Decided on a CS at 7 pm. At 7:11 pm, L was born. At 7:12 pm, G was born. After it was all said and done and family came to our room at 10 pm. Pretty much every day since.

Also part of the barely made it crowd. Water broke at 730p, called the doctor and got to the hospital by 9. Fully dilated and effaced and ready to deliver. Except the OB wasn't there and lived an hour away. The Sageling was born just after 11p. Living 45 min from the hospital puts me at risk for subsequent deliveries. The nurses actually told me that I could be that person delivering on the side of the road if I didn't come in the moment my water breaks.

She was 45 min from the hospital and it was her third kid. Got pulled over by a cop and her H caught the baby while the cop just stood there like a dingus. Not to scare you or anything...

A is snipped. So the chances of another pregnancy at this point are slim.
