can verify that being pregnant over the entire summer is the worst. DS was born mid-late September, and I swear to god I was just a puddle the last 2 months or so. I loved it personally (DS1 was born mid-august and DS2 end of October). But I have a feeling my summers are much milder than most everyone else's. But sundresses and flip flops are so much easier than layers and snow boots. Where (generally) do you live? I’m in SD so it gets super cold in the winter, with lots of snow and very humid in the summer. Temps usually don’t get much over 95 though, if they do it’s like a couple of days.

I'm basically as far East as you ccan get in North America lol (Newfoundland). Our summers are humid because were surrounded by ocean, but even in summer were usually only high 60s-low 70s. We'll probably get a total of two weeks at 80+.

I'm right smack in the middle of the east coast metro area - I'm a few hours drive from NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC. Our winters aren't generally awful, but summers can get really hot and humid, hovering in the 90s for a couple months.

fikafairy I grew up near Annapolis MD and went to college in DC and then met DH in Arlington, VA. Our whole families are still there. Where are you state wise?

I’m in the south east and it’s freaking hot and humid in the summer. But baby will be born via c-section in the middle of June so hopefully it won’t be too terribly awful.

I’m definitely having a c section as well, at least 2-3 weeks early based on our complications. I am thankful that it won’t be too far into the awful middle heat of summer yet!

fikafairy that would have been my guess When we come back to MD for Christmas we’re visiting Hershey Park for a quick getaway with the cousins on both sides - fingers crossed for it not being bitterly cold!

I am thankful that it won’t be too far into the awful middle heat of summer yet! due to a rare form of ectopic pregnancy called cornual ectopic, I had to have a Fallopian tube and a small bit of my uterus removed. It could rupture if I went into labor 😬 so c-section it is this time. But although I’m nervous to have a c-section, I’m glad I won’t be pregnant until nearly July.

I’ve had 2 c-sections so far, which is why I’ve won a repeat one. Honestly I think my recovery went easier each time physically than my sisters did with my niece - there was tearing and vacuums and such involved. NO THANK YOU. I had zero issues with physical recovery each time. I will add that both of mine were considered crash emergencies, and were under general anesthesia and I still had no physical issues. I’m totally fine with what will hopefully be a leisurely planned c-section! Makes it easier to plan!

I had significant tearing with my first and recovery from 72hr labor and 2 1/2hrs of pushing was HARD. I’ve been nervous about recovering from surgery, my emergency surgery for the ectopic was a nightmare to recover from. But this doesn’t sound too bad. Just showing up and being like, yep we’re having a baby and all. Hopefully recovery isn’t too bad. I’m terrified of the needle though. I didn’t have meds with my boys.
