flamingo I think they’re fine. I know Dude is younger, but he’s in a size 1 and the Nike Cortez he just got are Velcro. Thanks. I do think you see a lot more velcro than when we were kids. I just got B some new sneakers but they're lace-up (he's in a 3.5, so it's increasingly tough to find Velcro. The laces are definitely motivating, he's about mastered shoe-tying so that's a plus). 3.5?! My goodness! S is only in a Toddler 8. You have one growing boy on your hands! I will be thinking of you in the teen years when he is eating you out of house and home! |

Do you usually take the kids in for a follow up after antibiotics to make sure the infection is gone? If not and he's still complaining of pain after day 8-9, I'd take him back in to double check. I don't typically do a follow-up, though I think once C had one that didn't go away after the first round of antibiotics. Thanks for sharing your wisdom! |

Hi all. Busy morning at work then back to back meetings this afternoon, then I've agreed to watch the neighbours kids while she goes to a PAC meeting at the school, it's from 6.30-8 and that's when my kids are winding down,having a bath and in bed by then. Oh well, that's what I get for sharing a bottle of wine with her, I want to be helpful! I shared a bottle of wine with my sister and now I have her 3 kids every Monday for about 5 hours. Things always sound like a great idea over wine. |

flamingo, out of curiosity, what size shoes do you wear now? My boys are 12 and 8 wide. Which I think is about average for both of them. I have tiny feet, and MH I think is about average.

I'm usually a 10 or 10.5. I think my feet stopped growing in middle school. eta: DH is an 11 and my dad wears a 13. My mom and my sister are similar to me. So shoe size-wise, my kids are basically doomed  |

Sunday night at my in laws, M bashed his eye on one of their dining chairs and has a black eye. His teacher told me that yesterday he was walking around asking everyone "you see the purple? You see it??" And telling the story very dramatically. Today I'm walking around the store and get a call from the school nurse. He's in her office with an ice pack because he has a headache from hitting his eye.. 2 days ago 🤦♀️ he refused to go back to class so I had to leave the store and go get him. He acts kind of droopy but I can't tell what is fake and what is real 🤷♀️ he's soooo dramatic that I just can't ever tell. I asked him what hurt and he said everything. I said no, what specifically hurts. He listed every part of his body..

And lord, what happens at this community center for it to be that expensive??? That’s just to be a member. You still have to pay money for any of the classes they offer. You just get it at a discount as a member. I think he assumed it included the gym and pool. I specifically told him it was the general membership and would not include that. He obviously didn’t believe me. |

Wow Bs feet are so big flamingo! C is currently in a 1.5. He refuses to wear Velcro yet doesn’t know how to tie his shoes. He’s almost there but is also totally fine not tying. |

Hi hi - never checked in. Long day, mh was out the door before we were up..so busy morning for me. Mh has gotten j into making his own oatmeal with quite the elaborate topping, followed by half a bagel. So I got to help him with that, needless to say he didn't get the bagel by the time we got to that step.
K had her 2m appt and is doing great. She's 77% for weight and 85% for height, i thought she might be more.
And the fence people came today unannounced. They said it'd be a 5 week wait and somehow a week into that wait they appear. I think it looks good though, it doesn't look like it's about to blow over in a storm. Now to catch up on the work I didnt do today.

Evening playdate is going well, but I’ll now refer to these children as the snack kids, in 45 min they asked for snacks 5 times and none of those requests are from mine. The neighbourhood must know that food is my love language 🤷♀️
