Woke up to a surprise delay for everyone! There’s barely any snow, but I guess the roads can be slippery. MH and got a little quiet time with hot coffee on the couch. Nice way to start the day!

I stayed up way too late last night watching the Chiefs game. My head and stomach are upset and I was running late.
In good news, I think I finally found someone to hang our Christmas lights. Who knew Christmas lights were such a market? The amount of money people want to do it is astounding.

Morning! I’m working today. I feel pretty accomplished for my day off yesterday. I cleaned the closet out and between MH and I, got rid of SEVEN trash bags of clothes and shoes. I dropped them off at the local goodwill type store last night. I have no idea how all those clothes were hanging in there because it still looks full to me!
Tomorrow MH leaves for a week and a half! A much needed break from each other. This actually starts his busy season at his business. So he takes a ton of leave (use or lose) from his real job. I’m ready for it! Lol! But I will be going there for 1 night this weekend and possibly next week for a day or two for thanksgiving.

Morning. Last night right before I was ready to head to bed I got a bad bout of nausea. It was the closest I was to throwing up this pregnancy and I was able to push through it. DH had to bring me some bread to eat, which helped a little. No thank you very much to that. I think S is sick. She’s developed a cough and feels warm to the touch. She’s still playing and isn’t complaining to me so I’m just going to go with it for now. My house is a disaster from this weekend so I need to get bags unpacked and things put away. Laundry needs to get started too.

Morning.
Kids are off to school. Praise be. I was supposed to go to the gym, but I didn’t have anything to grab and eat in the car, so I’m home with coffee in hand and eggs boiling. I think I’ll try to go before I have to pick M up from school. I have some decluttering to do today and to finish some laundry. Hope everyone has a good day.

I'm patiently waiting for a chat session with United Healthcare. Those fuckers denied my claim saying it was out of network. I've been going to this same place for years, including this year, and only pay my copay.

Fucker update:
They will now reprocess my claim as in network. I'm annoyed I even had to contact them. JUST DO YOUR JOB CORRECTLY UNTITED HEALTHCARE!
I'm so glad I switched the kids to MH's insurance for next year.

Ear question for tgrimes and any other experts! C went on antibiotics sat night for ear infection. This morning was his 6th dose of antibiotics. He's still complaining at times that his ear hurts. Is that normal or should I take him back in?

wineallthetime Just wanted to add that it won't do you any good to take him back in. They'll just tell you to finish the antibiotic. It's possible whatever antibiotic he is on may not clear the infection and he'd then need to try a different one. But again, he'd need to finish the antibiotic he's on first. Would he lay on a heating pad for you? That helped with my EI. I can't get H to do it by M will.

+1 to the heating pad suggestion wineallthetime, J just had a sore ear and before we had the drops it'd be a dose of Tylenol and a warm cloth then the heating pad on low. She loved it and said it helped.

I'm so glad I switched the kids to MH's insurance for next year. I literally just got finished with a webinar b/c my company is switching to United Healthcare in January. Since MH is self employed, the whole family is covered under my plan. This does not make me happy...

Apparently they're denying more and more claims. My friend's claim was denied because his tongue tie was considered elective. WTF? He could barely eat!

Hi!
C went back to school this morning and thankfully B is still well so I got 2/3 out of the house...Dh just got home and is in bed. :sad trombone: I feel a tickle in the back of my throat but am resisting, I should go make chug more EmergenC.
I feel like there was something I was supposed to do today but I cannot remember what..oh well. I ran a couple errands and am now home having lunch before I head to get C.

Are you on 7 days of antibiotics or 10? Amoxicillin or Augmentin? 10, amoxicillin Do you usually take the kids in for a follow up after antibiotics to make sure the infection is gone? If not and he's still complaining of pain after day 8-9, I'd take him back in to double check.

I'm going to see Dear Evan Hansen tonight with my MIL. We're hitting up the sushi place that's by the theater for happy hour. I'm really excited for martinis and sushi.

Hi all.
Busy morning at work then back to back meetings this afternoon, then I've agreed to watch the neighbours kids while she goes to a PAC meeting at the school, it's from 6.30-8 and that's when my kids are winding down, having a bath and in bed by then. Oh well, that's what I get for sharing a bottle of wine with her, I want to be helpful!

tgrimes Did I tell you they denied my claims for the NICU after Poppy was born because they didn’t have information for the twin baby boy. 😂 It was actually the hospital’s fault for submitting the claims incorrectly, but such a nightmare to sort out and getting those bills totaling $170,000 in the meantime was not stressful at all. Sorry they’re being such a pain.

flamingo I think they’re fine. I know Dude is younger, but he’s in a size 1 and the Nike Cortez he just got are Velcro.

I just got B some new sneakers but they're lace-up (he's in a 3.5, so it's increasingly tough to find Velcro. The laces are definitely motivating, he's about mastered shoe-tying so that's a plus).

I'm so glad I switched the kids to MH's insurance for next year. I have them too. I had a claim from last January process out of network. They told me many times that they agree with me that it’s in network but they don’t know how to fix it in their computers. MH has a healthcare advocate that’s been working on it since July. It’s $39. They claim all the higher ups are involved. Guess they are all so busy working on my $39 that they can’t help you.
