Y'all. So I was talking to a woman I know in town, and she said that she tried to call George Holding's office (NC-2) about a Town Hall. They basically said they don't do them and hung up on her. So I called. They said that Town Halls are strictly a campaign function and he's not LEGALLY ABLE or required to hold one. I mean, he wouldn't want to hold one, break the law and get in trouble, right? Y'ALL. Update: So I called Sam Searcy's office (NC-17). It is illegal to have a town hall as an elected official if you fundraise during it. That is part of campaigning. But it is obviously legal to have an official town hall to meet with constituents, sans fundraising. He said the Republicans are coming up with LOTS of reasons to avoid having meetings in their districts. (Cue my shock.) He also said he doubts Holding will run for reelection. The new maps have not been approved yet but if they are, most likely his district will become Dem for the next election. And clearly Holding doesn't have the guts to run in a non-gerrymandered district.

Boy howdy, I love him. Swalwell, not T. I mean, in case there was confusion.

This week has been one hell of a ride. At least the government will be open for another month. I have little faith in them next month.

Remember how Trump said yesterday that the Horowitz report would blow everything wide open?
Yeah, not so much.
None of the evidence used to open the investigation came from the C.I.A. or from a notorious dossier of claims about Trump-Russia ties compiled by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent whose research was funded by Democrats.

my taxpayer dollars are going to a "Sports Liason" White House job while there are trailers in the yard of my kids' schools? Yeah, to hell with that. I find this shit so depressing. Everything is broken. The rich get richer and the rest of us are fucked. Honestly, I'm surprised he's only getting 90k a year. I figured nepotism came with a six figure salary.

So the entire House GOP are useful idiots for Russia. This is perfectly fine.
Sources confirm to @cbsnews that senators were briefed this fall on Russian operatives' efforts to deflect attention from the influence campaign Moscow waged in 2016 -- they included, in part, the seeding and amplification of narratives that Ukraine was the one to meddle.

Sorry if a repeat - CNN reported that RBG was admitted to John Hopkins for fever and chills Friday night, but may be discharged Sunday morning. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Friday night after experiencing chills and a fever earlier in the day, the Supreme Court said in a statement Saturday. www.cnn.com/2019/11/23/politics/ruth-bader-ginsburg-supreme-court-hospital/index.htmlWishing her a speedy recovery.

Any time I see her name, I have to remind myself to breathe. I can't imagine the pressure she feels.
