Funny sofa/cleaning story:
My sister’s old sofa had down pillows and she got in the habit of just absent-mindedly dropping loose feathers behind the couch (it was up against a wall in their old apt).
When she and BIL moved, the movers asked BIL if they’d had a pet bird. BIL was like, uh no, why? The mover pointed out where the couch had been...there were literally hundreds of feathers all along the baseboard 😂
She does not do that anymore.

I herby declare that the worst Halloween candy ever made is Nerds. The kids aren't allowed to eat anywhere they want yet I’m going to be finding them until the end of time. Lawd help me.

Colin's turkey is disguised as a soccer goalie, complete with a scenic background, soccer net, opponent, jersey, and a sweatband. He's super pleased with himself.

We made it to dance practice just in the nick of time. This place is chaos. H requested McDonald’s for lunch and they were real slow at getting food out so it took way longer than I expected. My eyes hurt so much from the chlorine in the pool area that we’ve been in. I just want to close them and take a nap.

Sierra’s was disguised as peps pig, and since she lacks the ability and or know how to understand the project I just had her color a props coloring page and glued it to the turkey. Lol.

We divided and conquered this morning. Mh and N went to Costco and I took the other two to return extra plants to home Depot and then went to Target to browse toys and get N a bday gift. We got her a bunny family from lil woodzeez and he picked out the our generation hot dog stand as his top choice for a bday gift😂. He has been playing with that silly ice cream truck daily, and it's 25% off today, so I'll be ordering that tonight. He doesn't think he needs a doll. I'm okay with buying doll sized toys rather than a kid sized one.
Still need to get to Ikea today.. oh and we somehow lost the video part of our new monitor. I swear I plugged it in Friday night...and it's missing. Hopefully it turns up before I lose my freaking mind.

I feel like I'm like all your husbands this weekend. MH is deep cleaning everything and I'm legit still in PJs sipping wine moving rooms to get out of his way. I am in a FUNK since my anxiety flared up and I'm giving myself til tomorrow to snap the fuck out of it and get back to normal.

I really want to nap (who am I!? I pretty much never nap), But feel like MH will frown on that since he's been doing the most... Rightfully so.

Because of course she is.

Mh took Cadence to the bday party so I could clean. The house is a mess. I would like to just quit and move, someone else can deal with it. LOL Why does my kid have so much shit?!?! Oh, and our party place called a little while ago. Apparently we forgot a gift there. Oops.

Nerds straight from the box, but only one or two shots of them. We didn’t get any for Halloween either. Actually, we didn’t get any candy just all chocolate and some pretzels.

lfig, sorry i didn’t respond yesterday. Thanks for sharing the info. My girlfriend is getting a service/emotional support dog for her daughter who is 13. They did a go fund me and the dog is being raised and trained in NC and then the trainer will come up to NJ and spend two weeks with the family to acclimate the dog to her daughter. The process has been really interesting to hear about.

I love these disguise turkey ideas. I wonder if Josie will do one. Except for her star of the day project, nothing has come home as “homework”

It's the candy form of glitter. :shudder: eta: C got one box and wanted to eat them the same way as J. After pouring them on the counter, of course. Noooooooooo.

Abominable was cute, if anyone is looking for a kid movie. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and the kids really liked it. The animation was beautiful. DH is out getting our grocery order and I'm watching Fixer Upper and having some red wine and a piece of warmed up banana nut bread...not a bad combo! He is doing veal chops for our dinner tonight after the kiddos are in bed (although the kitchen is so clean, we should really just get take-out )

This reminded me that when we remodeled our bathroom about 8 years ago, the wall was full of razor blades. I had noticed a slit in the back of my medicine cabinet but never gave it much thought. Apparently it was for disposing of razor blades. We bought the house from original owners who had it built in 1945 so there were 50 years worth in there.

DD took 5th on beam and 8th all around today out of 14 girls in her group. It was her first meet in the higher level so not bad. She was disappointed because she had a fall off beam and she didn’t have a single fall all last season but I guess a lot of other girls fell too.
I stayed home from DS’s game tonight to make dinner and do some homework. It should be ending soon. Hoping to get everyone to bed early for a good start to the week.

And thanks for the turkey talk because I forgot T has to do that. My friend who had to do that crap for the first time made something that actually lights up. I’m like sorry T, done this twice already, scribble on yours and call it a day.

My nephew just called selling pizzas for Boy Scouts and raffle tickets for school. He was such a sweet little salesman. lol. Last year my sister won the grand prize on the raffle tickets of $3000. So of course I had to buy a little of everything....$60 later I for sure have some pizzas coming...but I’m sure that winning the raffle won’t happen!

I think I’m about ready to go for it because they say it can take 1-2 years from starting the process till actually getting the dog.

Anyone have HughesNet for internet? We are thinking of switching to them from our local provider because the speeds are so much better. Just looking for anyone else’s experience?

A lot of the older dorms at my college did, as well.
