Mh is now blaming me for his neck. He says I woke him so abruptly this morning that I gave him whiplash. Seriously?

J has been the good one lately,.N seems to be an early threenager. I have her home today bc of our company and she is on rare form. If she doesn't go down for this nap, I will be driving her around later bc she is a beast. My aunt says she reminds her of her oldest, who was a handful.
Tomorrow I am going to start working remotely from home as I can, so I guess this is my last day of leave. Womp womp.

I started watching Lifetime Movie for Women last night called Mommy's Little Girl, but had to stop to leave for TKD. It had Bad Seed vibes. The acting was horrendous and the girls were cackling the whole time. I looked for when it will air again or see if it's On Demand after class and it's only available if I pay $5. WTF Lifetime?!? You re-air your movies all the time, but not this gem of the cinema?
I know we've mostly moved on to Christmas movies, but if anyone is still into scary Honeymoon on Hulu was pretty good. It was more of a suspense than a scary movie. It starred Ygritte from GoT. I thought it'd be utter crap, but I found it fairly entertaining.

I posted this weekend about thinking this is the most annoying age yet, because of the tantrums, whining, crying, etc. I'm ready for it to be over. No heat in our offices. I brought a bigger space heater in from home, which has tripped the breaker 3 times this morning. They told me I could go home, I'm giving it one more shot. I'm so annoyed. I do have a small space heater going, but this is just dumb. We aren't doing rocket science here, nothing that important that we all need to be cold in our offices. Go home!

Morning! inthekitty's gif was my actual face reading klong11's post. Col had his annual physical yesterday so we took advantage of the timing to get both boys their flu shots. So. Much. Crying. They calmed down in time to leave and were fine for a couple hours and then started up AGAIN at bathtime because they wanted new bandaids. We said no problem, I even put the bandaids in their sight, but they just couldn't stop once they'd started. On the plus side, they slept amazingly last night. They've been waking up early lately but we had to wake them both up this morning. Still I'm glad that's over with. Until next year.

I think daylight savings time might also have something to do with all of the attitudes lately.

Hey wineallthetime not sure what prices are elsewhere but I saw the Barbie dream house on sale at Target for $179 (normally 199). Just an FYI since you mentioned it for L

wineallthetime , ugh. Sorry that your anxiety is out of control. Anything seem to be driving it or just randomly elevated? Either way I hope it settles down today. lahdeedah of course you have a full day when you're not feeling your best. Hope the meds kick in and help. I'm not sure! It just spiked about 2 weeks ago. Not sure if I need a med change or something..

This is the one we have. I think it’s better quality than the dream house. M still plays with it daily. Just know that it’s a pain to assemble.

They’re in their best behavior for everyone else but the moment she’s with me it all goes to shit. I believe this is totally normal because they feel comfortable with us and are able to let their guard down. It’s incredibly frustrating though and I feel your pain.

Layla is super quick to tears lately as well. Much more so than usual. Her behavior is decent at home but per usual school is still a struggle. She'd be fine if she'd just stay in her seat and talk a little less. I am happy that she behaves a lot better than last Feb/Mar but girl still needs to follow the rules. They do apply to her regardless of what she seems to think.

We have a kid kraft everyday heroes playhouse that was a pain to put together, too. Especially at midnight on Christmas.

My coworker has the kidkraft doll house and they out it together Christmas Eve night in their downstairs foyer (condo on the second floor), finally got it together and it wouldn't fit upstairs so they had to take it apart!

Yeah, DH had to do the KidKraft play kitchen last year and while not *hard*, it had about eleventy billion steps.
This year I think we'll have bikes to do but otherwise should be ok. Trying to avoid anything too crazy knowing we have the move coming up.
OH! Going to go resurrect the gift thread with a bike question.

I just got the schedule for Josie spirit week. Monday is sports day Tuesday is dress as your favorite idiom Wednesday is blue and gold day Thursday is throwback Thursday (dress from any decade) Friday is wacky hair and pjs
Can we talk about Tuesday? I know what an idiom is, but I don’t think my six year old does, and I’m pretty sure they haven’t been studying in school so this might be a challenge. I was also just looking at the calendar so we could find a date for the holiday party at her school, and I saw that this Friday is the 50th day of school and they’re asking kids to dress in 50s attire, but nothing has come home about it and Josie hasn’t mentioned it.

guster aside from a 6yo not knowing what an idiom is, how in the world are you suppose to dress like one?!

Im just glad to know that M’s school isn’t the only one that did this. I thought it was weird. Still do. Maybe they aren’t pushing it to the K5 classes? M’s teacher sent a note home about it weeks in advance. ETA: sorry I’m no help wit the idiom dress up. Unless she wants to be a “piece of cake”?
