C said Mama finally the other night! Of course it was while he was fussing because he heard me come through the door, but he said it!

C was driving me nuts and also cracking me up during dinner last night. He kept on demanding I give him more food even though he had plenty on his tray, and then at the end kept trying to hand me his half eaten food and would give it back when I put it down on his tray. Apparently now that's how he tells me he's done. And he's obsessed with drinking out of my water glass, even though he has a 360 cup on his tray.

Dh and I took a quick trip to Seattle this weekend to watch the MLS cup final and the Sounders won! Seattle was crazy, we saw Macklemore perform, and got to see some friends we hadn't seen in years. I'm so tired now!

I can't believe it's November. I am not ready for everything to be all about Christmas yet. Can't we just focus on Thanksgiving for a few weeks?

DD's birthday is Thanksgiving week (she was born on Thanksgiving day) and so we're in birthday planning mode. Then comes Xmas and Hanukkah, which are the same week this year.

We have a walker! C's been taking one step here and there for the past week and today he finally really walked!

I'm wondering if we're nearer to the end of nursing than I thought... C's been nursing for shorter amounts and only occasionally waking overnight to nurse, so we end up nursing once, maybe twice on weekdays and maybe 3 times a day on the weekends. If he eats a big dinner, he hardly wants to nurse at bedtime at all. I'm trying to start an actual bedtime routine for him with reading books rather than our current diaper-pajamas-boob-crib routine, which while easy, is not going to work as well when he gives up the boob. I'll be sad when we're done since he's my last baby, but it will also be nice to get some of my body back to myself.

Hugs Dramaphile. I still send pumped milk to daycare but we're down to mostly first thing in the morning and last thing before bed for nursing too and I have that same combination of feeling sad at nursing is winding down but happy to get my body back too. I'll let him have the morning and evening sessions as long as he wants them so we'll see what happens.

In typical me fashion, Santa pics are a week from Friday and I have no idea what the boys should wear. I struggle with deciding matching vs coordinating and that's a pretty big point to decide before I can figure out what to put them in!

I'm in the same boat, we're getting family photos done at a Christmas tree farm the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I have no idea what we're wearing. I do know that I desperately need a new bra or three because I looked at a pic of myself today and my boobs looks super sad from my super old nursing bras that are somehow both too tight and too loose. I really need to go shopping and find something that I like on myself because I'm the hardest person in my family to dress.

Our city has possible e coli in the water so we've had to boil or use bottled water for the last few days. I've always taken it for granted, but it makes me so thankful to have clean water (besides right now haha). I can't imagine how hard it would be to live in a place like Flint, Michigan or the many places in the world without clean drinking water.
What are you thankful for?

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
Unfortunately we had to bail on all plans thanks to a stomach bug. I love Thanksgiving so that sucked. Me and the boys are doing better. MH is dealing with it now. I'm thankful we weren't both sick at the same time.

I'm thankful we weren't both sick at the same time. we got hit with a stomach bug too! Dd1 got it Saturday, dh and dd2 got hit Monday, I thought I was in the clear but got hit Wednesday night and missed Thanksgiving 😠thankfully the girls and dh still went to my parents house while I stayed in bed not moving because I felt like I got hit by a bus and nothing was staying down. We missed last year too because dh and I had walking pneumonia. I'm really hoping this doesn't become a trend! I am sooooooo thankful dh and I didn't get it at the same time, I don't know what we would have done. It was rough enough as it was...

MH seems to get sick every year mid-November, but it's usually just a cold. That would be a terrible "tradition" to be sick every Thanksgiving!
