DD is still not walking. She can take a few steps by herself, though. She’s starting to stand up on her own but is still very wobbly and falls to her butt a lot. I’m hoping she’ll catch on soon. I know we still have a few months until I really need to worry but I feel a little anxious about it. DS3 still falls over sometimes when I sit him on the ground. Dude. Babies half your age have sitting mastered. Use your core! I plan to talk to the doc at his 15 month appointment next month but I’m sure she’ll say not to worry about it. So far no signs of regression so that’s a positive in my book! Does she climb? DS3 loves climbing stairs and all over pillows. I’m also counting that as positive gross motor development.

cara, DS is right exactly there, too - has taken a few steps, is just starting to stand up without holding anything, etc. and I am exactly where you are - I know we're in the range of normal still, but it's my job as his mom to worry about things, while also being thankful that it's making my life a tiny bit less chaotic at this exact moment. HOWEVER, like ohreally is saying, he's been making solid progress since he started army crawling around 10.5 months, with no regressions, and can climb stairs, on to the couch (!), bear crawl, etc.

DD loves playing peekaboo too. She gets a kick out of it. I just really love this stage so much. She's all about giving me hugs and kisses and is so sweet and silly. I remember when DS was this age and it was one of my favorite ages. The pre, crazy toddler stage😜

Dd loves peekaboo too!
My current worry is she isn’t saying words. I’m hoping she has a word explosion soon. Baby milestones are stressful.

I think her focus has been on developing her gross motor skills so I'm trying not to worry but it's still on my mind. These kids.

Words? I’ll be happy if he can moo by 18 months. But seriously, I thought words came between 18-24 months.

Now she doesn’t really say anything, she just yells and babbles. But she communicates. If she is hungry she pulls out the chair, stuff like that. But she doesn’t wave bye bye, or hi. So, idk? I honestly cannot remember the timeframes with my oldest. But the pediatrician made me feel a little worried when I told her this. But she did say not to worry until the 18 month appointment. Ha! She doesn’t understand the worry!

DD doesn't really wave or anything either. Only days dada towards her dad. But she definitely understands. The other night, I said let's go change your diaper and she walked over to the bin that I keep the diapers in. And no matter where she is in the house, you can call out "Haley do you want to eat?". And she will haul ass to the high chair. 🤣

We don’t have a ton of words going on here either. She says mama, dada, and no (😂). She communicates and understands quite a bit, though. If I ask her if her food is yummy she’ll say “mmm” or if I ask her what a ducky says, she’ll say “quack quack”. She also uses sign language for eat, milk, more, all done and please. So I feel like maybe she can communicate enough with signs where she hasn’t had to say as much?
ETA - she will also wave hello and goodbye. She also will blow kisses if we ask her to or give kisses.

I’m trying not to stress about words too. But it is hard! L babbles a ton and consistently signs more, all done, and is working on please. He can also do space if we ask him. Put he usually does not repeat words when we try to get him to say them. He’s said mama and dada randomly, but never consistently or with meaning. He is starting to imitate sounds when we say “good night” and “love you”. And he can follow simple commands like “bring your shoes to mommy” and “pick up your sippy”.

I think Amelia understands a good amount. If I ask her to get something of hers she will go get it. She will give hugs or kisses if I ask her and waves hi and bye.

DS didn't have many words at this age either, maybe like 3 or 4 at the most. I think this is all within the normal range here. Usually they will work on mastering one skill so if it's not language it's something else. We have our 15 month well visit tomorrow so I will definitely bring it up but I don't think my pedi will be too concerned about it yet.

Daycare told me Z isn't listening well lately....He's 15, almost 16 months old. I'm pretty sure that's par for the course.

DD doesn't have many words either. She says dog, cat, dad, and she'll sign more. Her receptive language is great, she understands most of what we say to her. DS was the same way. The pedi told me with DS that signs count as words right now because they are still communicating needs or wants. DS had a language explosion shortly after turning 2. (He also has speech therapy, so I don't know if the explosion was due to therapy or just age.) But now he never shuts up. 😉

H has to log into to work for a few hours today. It's pretty chilly out so I'm planning to stay in our pj's today. Anyone else have anything more exciting happening?

I think I just need to complain in this thread more. I said the baby stopped talking. Well yesterday and today she started saying mama and dada again and she signed ‘more’. So I can feel less worried now.

Dd has her 15 month vaccinations over two weeks ago and one of the shot sites is still rock hard. I should probably contact the doctor right?

Holy moly this is overwhelming. I have the kitchen 3/4 of the way done and all of H and I's clothes in our dressers. Good progress but so far to go. Really thankful for the extra day off.
