Alex has given me a deadline to have the backsplash done in the kitchen- Christmas. He's tired of seeing the giant eyesore. The one we originally picked has been discontinued. And now I dont even know what I want. Grey cabinets and grey wood grain floors. White counters. Light blue-gray walls. Black accents. Ideas? Ignore my messy kitchen..

I'm the least qualified, but I like simple or subtle backsplashes, so I'd probably do a white subway tile and maybe get fancy with a darker grout color? Is that still in? Or an small white hexagon tile.

It was a glass subway tile that was very close in color to the wall. But now I'm thinking I want a shape. Like tear drop or something. But I dont want anything that will look dated or out of style in a year or 2.

I love subway tiles with a dark grid, timeless imo.

I love carerra marble. It comes in a lot of shapes and patterns if that’s what you’re looking for. I think hexagons or basketweave are pretty timeless.

I love subway tile, that’s what I have. I also love arabesque tile.
