I rowed for 25 min and it felt really good, also realized I haven't rowed for about 17 years and feel old AF. College is so far away..I also realized at game time that my team was playing literally 15 min away today. Not that I would have gone with a newborn, but still a horrible fan.
I have two friends visiting tomorrow with their families, so it will be a busy and exhausting day, and hopefully fun. Hopefully the kids nap bc they didn't today and we're in rare form..

M was in rare form today. Both of the kids have colds again and M even fell asleep in the couch for about 30 min while H was napping.
I took her to run errands with me and then MH said he was thinking about hiring someone to rake the yard. I felt the need to get some aggression out so I told him to watch H while I raked. M did the flower beds and then swans for awhile. Then she made and played with paper airplanes.
Pizza & wine for dinner. It was so good. We let the kids play for a bit longer than usual and then I walked the dog after they went to bed. Now I’m in bed after a long, hot shower.
It’s slightly embarrassing how tired I am just from raking for 1.5 hours.

The Halloween party wasn’t so much of a party as it was a hangout. We are all getting old (lol) and the majority of the wives are knocked up. We left around 12:15 and were one of the last couples to leave. It was still nice to get out without the kids and hang with adults.

Maybe off topic but do you have life insurance for your kid(s)? If you do where do you get it from. Our benefits enrollment is happening and I sign up for it for the kids but just realized it’s not a lot but was looking into supplemental. Sorry if this has been brought up before.

I don't, I just have it for myself to provide for the kids if anything happens to me. I am not sure I understand the purpose of life insurance for kids..

My work has a program that tells you the best coverage for your needs. It told me that getting life insurance will help with insurability later in life and when they turn 18 can be “sold” for money for them or continued at a much lower rate then what is typical when they first get into the workforce. Edit: also the coverage I get for the kids is $1 per week for both so it’s not a huge investment but I read an article that kind of freaked me out.

Morning! MH is at work. I'm watching my niece for a bit this morning/early afternoon and then I think my sister and BIL will stay and watch our kids for a bit while MH and I go out.

Morning ladies! We had ds’ birthday party for family this morning, he had a blast! He got spoiled rotten of course and we have cake left, nothing beats leftover cake. We just came home from the theater (bad planning on my end, but to fun to miss). I’m exhausted, we’re ordering in and vegging out tonight, can’t wait.

We just did DH’s yearly review stuff for all that. For $3.18 a month we get $20,000 per child so we did it but I don’t think I would have gone searching for it if it wasn’t right there in front of me as we had to pick everything else.

Question for PB Kids shoppers: is $35 a good price for their size Large backpack or should i wait for a better deal? I need to buy Z a better backpack and figured i should buy something she can use next year too.

Worst case scenario but to help pay for a funeral would be what I would use it for.

The other day I caught C playing with my old wallet and it had $143 in it. Today I cleaned out my bra drawer and found a $100 bill. I think I’m going to need to treat myself this week.

Raising a tween and a toddler at the same time is exhausting. DH, my sister, and 2 of my close friends who help me with stuff are all away. I may be begging to go back to work by the end of this break.
I let DD use the treadmill for the first time. Kid ran an 8 minute mile so I was inspired and ran a mile and a half after her. Next summer will be my last summer in my 30’s so I need to look good. I’m currently picking out my courses for my post grad stuff to get approved by my superintendent. My goal is 30 credits by September and I invited my parents to go out to dinner tonight. Guess I’m feeling ambitious today.
