sands42 thanks! DH told me last night that he told H she might be bullied for her glasses and I yelled at him. Why he thought that was a good idea, I don’t know. But this was about her clothes, not the glasses. Who knows. Also, congrats on the new house and move! Oh man that sucks that he put that thought into her head! She is adorable in glasses!

sands42 , lol I'm curious about what this kin business is too! Congrats on the new house! Morning ladies, last night was pumpkin carving. Charlee was HERE FOR IT! She thought it was the greatest thing. Such a difference from Layla's first year when she would cry just looking at an uncarved pumpkin. We never got to this. Guess we'll do it this weekend. *whispers* Tomorrow is Halloween

mskatiep That is so cute! None of my kids have ever wanted anything to do with pulling the seeds out.... I end up doing everything lol. Tim is definitely in charge of the carving pumpkins. If it were up to me, I'd just paint them. I'm not a fan of cleaning them out.

I’m feeling alright. Still having lots of symptoms and that’s reassuring. Lots of super weird dreams.

We are carving pumpkins tonight. Nothing like the last minute. I wanted to do it Monday night but the girls took forever to eat supper so there wasn’t time. In the past neither have liked touching the guts. I usually end up carving all the pumpkins so this year we only got 2. I haven’t decided if I want to take the effort to roast the seeds this year.

FFWC? I've never carved pumpkins with the boys. Actually I think I may never have carved them in my life. I am not artistic, and don't like messes. My boys both take after me in both respects so I don't even think it would really be a hit. We've decorated with stickers, etc but that's it.

When you were gone I had an ectopic pregnancy that required surgery to remove the tube at the beginning of August. So I’m cautiously optimistic at this point. I have an ultrasound/appt in 2 weeks.

We usually paint them, too. He has been asking me to carve and I was supposed to Monday, but never got around to it. We may do it today when I get him from school.

Good to see you sands42. The house is beautiful! How exciting to move back and be close to family. Glad you're still having good signs trtlcrzy . *eye roll* at your husband giving H the idea that she might be teased for glasses. Honestly I've noticed kids a lot kinder than in my generation. Less teasing about those types of things.

We carved last night too. That's definitely one of my tasks. I used to go nuts and carve over a half dozen pumpkins. I just don't have time or energy for it anymore. I did two last night. I gutted them and helped Cass with her face, but Maddie was mostly able to do her own design. I wish I could tell different types of pumpkins. I'm always thrilled when I get the lighter, drier guts that come right out instead of the stringy orange ones that are difficult to carve.

Started cutting in and the color is not what I want in the boys room. When trtlcrzy said that was the color of her new living room, I kinda thought it wasn’t as gray as I was hoping. Not a big deal because I’ll just do the master in that color. Now I need to run out to Lowe’s to get more paint. It’s a good thing I got the rebate cards from the last paint I bought.

Do you want something a little bit cooler toned? Light French gray or repose gray might be what you’re looking for. Both SW

I'm over here on my library's website looking for available books with skeletons in them. Cadence will be wearing her wolf costume to school tomorrow, so she has to bring Little Red Riding Hood to show which storybook character she is. She'll have her skeleton pjs on underneath in case she gets too hot, but we don't have any stories with skeletons in them, so I'm having to do a last minute search. Looks like she'll be taking The Magic School Bus and the Missing Bones. I know I’m way late but The Teeny Tiny Woman is a good one involving bones!

sands42 hiii! beautiful house!! I hope the old one sells quickly! That’s great that you’ll still be able to pursue your swim business back in IN. Also, I can relate to a lot of your move-related feelings; I can’t wait to be home and finally settled for good near my family next year, but I will really miss the little community we’ve built here, and the kids’ schools. trtlcrzy H looks adorable in her glasses, eye roll to your H. I agree with inthekitty, I think most kids nowadays are prerty accepting. I doubt B would even notice if a classmate got glasses, and it definitely wouldn’t occur to him to make a ‘thing’ of it.

Also, hello I just got off the phone after a nice chat with my mom, and fixed leftover chicken Parmesan for lunch, which was delicious. I should really make it more often bc it’s so easy. C took an early nap so I’ve had lots of time to do laundry and vacuum the shutters in the laundry room (which I don’t think I’d done since we moved here...whoops!) She’s awake now and in a much better mood.

My mom is away at a conference so I'm at her house giving grandma her fluids. Then I have rice krispies to make for M's class tomorrow. Then laundry. Sweep my room. Finish sewing my costume. Make dinner. Finish M's math packet with him that is due tomorrow. Oh and file quarterly fuel taxes.... god help me.

We took MJ off her reflux medication to see if she outgrew it. She seemed fine at first but the back arching and gagging have returned...

If anything I think S would probably think it was cool and want them himself. I don't really know his new friends, but I can think of at least 4 kids in his DC that wore glasses every day and it was no big deal. Just another "identifier" (ie there were 2 Liams - if he was telling me something it might be Liam with the glasses or Liam without the glasses).

flamingo Yes! My house is going up online Friday and I’ve only told TWO of my friends/neighbors. I’m too sad about it too even tell people. I’m very excited but I know I won’t find a neighborhood like this again 😭

Not bothering to carve our pumpkins this year. I'm pretty sure they're frozen and I don't want to deal with the mess. I actually prefer the look of a normal, unaltered pumpkin.
I asked Evie's teacher if she wants me to come in early tomorrow and help get the kids in their costumes before the costume parade. Unfortunately, she said yes. I don't know why I put myself in these positions.

I told her I had to take vacation days. She said she was thinking of doing a camp but said it was $$$. I asked if I needed to watch him and she said she’d probably take me up on that offer. I hope he likes frozen 2 because I’m taking M that Monday.

mwhip, our school "requests" that we pick the kids up and feed them lunch at home to get them in their costumes, then bring them back after lunch for the parade. I think it's a mistake but I reached out to the teacher and she said that almost all the kids go home so I don't want S to be the only one left. Then they have the party after the parade, and I have to scoot across town (my town is tiny so this is a 2 minute drive)to watch B's parade so I'm not sure how it will all work timing wise. I wish I could just take him with me. Oh well.
