It's interesting to me that it looks like we don't have any May babies in the group!

Updated with more of my info. TBH, I'll probably be an early June based on my other two experiences. Plus, I want to avoid a potential Memorial Day birthday, if possible.

I got induced the day after my due date with my second because I didn't want a leap year baby. I'm trying to avoid any time after like the 2nd of July, but I'm really hopeful baby comes in June on it's own.

I just need to make sure DH is home. I won't even get a cervix check unless he is on land!

I’m trying to avoid an April 1 birthday just because I hate April fools day so I don’t want them to have that as a birthday lol.

txaggie08 why don’t you want a memorial day birthday? My birthday is late May and falls around memorial day and I always thought it was so fun to have a long weekend and everyone in a good mood because summer is coming, pools are opening, etc!

I don't want a July baby because that month is already full of birthdays. My due date is my mom's birthday, then 2 weeks later my dad's and my birthdays are 3 days apart. I also don't really want a 4th of July baby either, just because I don't want them to have a holiday for a birthday!

Personally I differentiate between holidays that require presents and time with family vs ones that are just fun and you can spend with your friends. And I think the summer ones (Memorial Day and Independence Day) fall into the second category! Like my sister’s bday is the day after Halloween and she always had fun costume birthday parties with fall games (like bobbing for apples). I would try to avoid Thanksgiving and Christmas birthdays if that were an issue. DS1 is 1/23, which luckily feels just far enough from Christmas to not be an issue.

Yes, DS2 is a Halloween baby and we have lots of fun with it already. I cannot wait until he's a bit older and can do fun costume parties with his friends.

I’m a thanksgiving time baby (11/22) and I’ve always loved it. I’d have e separate parties as a child but once I was a teen I just asked that we do cake and presents at thanksgiving dinner. I get a great meal and cake and presents and I love spending time with my family so it works.

My birthday is late May and falls around memorial day and I always thought it was so fun to have a long weekend and everyone in a good mood because summer is coming, pools are opening, etc! I don't really have a very good reason. I think it's partially because a holiday weekend will make it difficult for birthday party planning, and it's a better shot at a true summer birthday (out of school for many kids around here) if I can make it to the first week of June.

I get this. My kid has a spring break birthday and every year there are so many kids out of town that can’t make her birthday. I’m just going to start having them like two weeks early.

When we were trying I was honestly thinking of skipping October since it would give me a July baby. The entire first week of July has a birthday on every day in SO’s family. And a couple more scattered later. His kids are July 1st and 3rd. I honestly feel a little too close even being June but I didn’t want to skip too many months of trying, hah.

My best friend when I was a kid had a Halloween birthday and her parties were the BEST. I looked forward to them every year. They would set up her garage with all the classic Halloween party activities.
