inthekitty, I saw she chose hoops. Good choice! We had so many problems with the regular earrings.

Pretty good. My face is breaking out with giant painful pimples, my appetite is down and bloating up, and I’m tired all the time. All good signs.

inthekitty , I saw she chose hoops. Good choice! We had so many problems with the regular earrings. The guy actually didn't have any for her to choose from. He has special, good quality surgical stainless steel to start out with. I bought surgical stainless steel Jack Skellington studs for her, but he wanted to start with these. I was surprised at the hoops because I thought those would be a tougher adjustment to not fiddle with, but it sounds like it was a good choice. It makes M feel fancier if nothing else.

We went to target and I bough H glasses there. The eye doctor’s office wanted to charge me $240 after insurance, and I was a big nope to that. I paid $48 and am happy with that. Here’s a pic of her in the glasses she chose PDQ

Good here! How old is your little Charlie (Charley?) now? Charlee is 9 months now! Finally crawling lol. She is a trip though, such a different personality than Layla had. Super sweet but super feisty. She's going as a pineapple for halloween... sweet on the inside, prickly on the outside. 9 months!? What!? I thought you were going to say like 3 months!

There was a pair that H liked that looked like C’s with hearts on the side but I made her get something more neutral. The arms of the ones we picked are pink with stars on them.

Every time we go to get the arms tightened she tries them all on and picks what her next pair will be.

I love it, trtlcrzy and I’m glad to hear you’re feeling all kinds of pregnant-y! @wine, sounds fun! mskatiep, welcome back. I hope you’ll stick around and share stories of your two cuties. I hope the soft food is a go, wedding. Thinking of you.

Hi hi - TGIF! I went to coffee with a friend near prek and then went to the gap before picking N up after lunch. Opted against 2 round trips across the city today. I need to get her down for a nap and then will pick up j early so we can work on his Halloween costume for the neighborhood parade tomorrow.
Mh is in a bit of a funk and doesn't seem particularly happy with just life in general and keeping our heads above water with all the crap we have to do. So that's fun🙄. Hopefully he will perk up this weekend enough to fake smiles for family pictures.. always his favorite activity.

I am home, and just did a quick clean of the downstairs while Charlie rests. We are signing the papers for the refinance today. The closer will be here at 3:30, so I am picking up Josie a little early so she and Charlie can be snacked and settled so M and l I can focus on the paperwork. We’re going out to celebrate tonight. Josie and Charlie have chosen the gourmet hot dog place in town. Not my first choice, but they do have an incredible bacon jam that they schmear on everything.

Glad to hear it trtlcrzy! I don't think lunch with our kids is an option at our school. I've not heard of it, but even if we had it, I don't think I would want to do it often. For their birthdays we can go in and read to the class so I think I will do that (which sounds super interesting to me so I can see him in that environment!)

I don’t think I’d like to go to lunch more than two or three times a year. Do you just go to hang out with them? Do you bring your own lunch? Do you bring them a special lunch? jewels, the same thing is an option for us for birthdays at school. They try to stay away from food related celebrations, but encourage parents to either bring in a book or come to read a book or do a craft or play a game. During open house Josie’s teacher told us that the birthday person gets to choose either extra recess or extra centers time. I think it’s very cute that they still try to make it special.

I have no desire to eat lunch with H at school. My friend went to eat lunch with her daughter on her birthday and it didn’t go well. Apparently they have a special table for visitors to eat with and her daughter was mad she couldn’t sit with her friends.

Seriously, there are people that eat lunch at school daily? I SAH and I don't have time for that. FFFC: I think it is helicopter-y. Or...something. Yep. My neighbor or her husband go daily. C and I sat with her and her daughter today and she spoon fed her lunch basically. It was...odd. I've seen her daughter eat and she is fine. Maybe she eats slow and her mom wants to make sure she eats? But she's not underweight or anything that would warrant that. C was thrilled to see me and they get to invite a friend. It was fun. There was a mom and dad with their kid next to us that had McDonald's. That will not be me and I am shocked the school allows that. My neighbor said one girl's mom brings Chick Fil-A every Thursday.

I’m working from home today and dipped out to have lunch with C at school. Some parents legit come every day and he’s been wondering why I can’t. We discuss but I figure if I’m home and can take the time I will. I hope he is happily surprised. My mom starts soft foods today so fingers crossed all goes well. Every day? That's excessive..

There is a long table in the middle of the lunchroom where parents can lunch with their kids. C ate and I hung out and chatted with him while observing everyone's interactions. I loved it but it wouldn't be special to do it daily and he needs that time with his friends. He invited his friend B to eat with him and the teacher said I would have to make sure they ate because they are always playing around and have to shove food in the last minute. B gets shy with me so he didn't join. Instead the cutest little girl Clara joined us. She has white blonde hair and glasses and she is so sweet. She is C's female sidekick vs a girlfriend. He did blush when a girl said Hi to him though.

But his friend Ry.leigh not so much.. they really really like each other and and get super shy.

I have never heard of having lunch at your kids school. However in my days it was common for most schools to have school days from 08.30-12.00 & from 13.00-15.30, parents would pick their kids up at 12, have lunch at home and then bring the kids back. It was insanity.

My fat ass had to buy a new Halloween costume last night because I finally tried mine on and, of course, it didn't fit. Oh, and mh weighed himself and I'm only 10 lbs lighter than him. Awesome.

Happy Friday! H had an early childhood screening this morning (required through the school district) he barely passed the articulation part since he struggles with f, s, th sounds. They said just to keep an eye on it and if he doesn’t improve in 6 months to have him reassessed. He did great on everything else tho.
I’ve ordered a bunch of dress options for a gala next month. 2 weeks postpartum is not an ideal time to try on formal dresses. Ugh. I think one that came today will work, but trying to decide which size. I think the smaller should zip, and hopefully fit better in 3 weeks, but it’s risky! I have more coming next week and will hopefully be able to make a decision.

I have not had lunch with N, but plan to on her birthday at least. My sister has had lunch with my nephew at least twice so far, and i think n gets to join them. I feel guilty, but also just don’t really have interest in making it a regular thing.

I like the reading-to-the-class idea jewels, I don't think they do too much of that in our school since K is half-day and they're crunched for time, but that is a really cute idea. We were told you can send in a 'favor' of some sort (no food). I haven't decided if I will do that since we'll be having a party and inviting the class. I can easily count on one hand the number of times my mom ate lunch with me—I don't remember it being a thing. I thought it was pretty cool if we got fast food for dinner the night before, and my mom got an extra *something* for me to take in my lunch the next day (at the time I thought it was a big treat but let's be real, Mom was probably tired of making lunches and/or out of sandwich bread and didn't feel like stopping at Publix )

I have no intention of going to eat lunch with Layla at school. But Tim is laid off right now, and she's been asking, so I threw him under the bus and told her he would come sometime next week..... Take one for the team babe.

My in laws are keeping the kids tonight. I bought stuff to make bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese and some red wine. Not sure what's for dinner yet but at least I got the important things taken care of, right? What time can I come over???
