Birthday: Right now, the only two things Josie is asking for are a Barbie camper (she doesn’t play with barbies) and a ukelele (which I’m considering).
Christmas planning will have to wait until after her birthday.

For her birthday I got her a new tablet, this time with a case, so hopefully she doesn't crack another one.
She has also requested the book, Bunion Burt. If you haven't read it, check it out. Kid has sore feet and everyone has an opinion as to what will help. Lots of rhymes and great illustrations. She checked it out 2 weeks ago and mh has read it every single night. She has the page with the sister memorized. It goes back to the library today and she's very sad about it.
For Christmas I'll probably look into getting her a violin and lessons.

We completely and totally spoil the kids all year round, so I go light on birthdays/Christmas/Hanukkah. Usually just 1 or 2 presents from us for birthdays and a small Hannukah present each night for them (like books/puzzles, etc). I'll do 1 bigger Hannukah present but still not too big. Then I do a Santa present for Christmas and that's all.
S asked for a scooter this morning so that might be his birthday.

S also broke his kindle so maybe that will be his Hannukah. Although he mostly uses my ipad. then add in books, maybe an animal, some math games (he's obsessed)
I'll probably get B some new books and trucks. he's really into matchbox cars so maybe some car garage or something. A few new puzzles and call it a day.

Birthdays will be maybe 1-2 gifts from us, cause they're having parties and will get far too much. Birthdays will be books, puzzles and pyjamas.
Christmas:
Both kids are getting Samsung tablets, or ipads, not sure which ones yet.
B:
walkie talkies...that's all I have on my list. ONE thing.
J:
some sort of doll and kit that includes doing the dolls hair, if anyone has ideas let me know

vino i just said this in the daily, but I am struggling for my B, too. The couple things he has suggested are 'no's (Nerf gun, for example...when we confiscated the last one b/c he couldn't follow the rules) IDK if you're ready to do an American Girl doll for J, but the new catalogue came yesterday and C was mesmerized. The Wellie Wishers are cute and a bit less pricey. There is a decent 18" knock-off AG doll series at Target, my aunt got one for C last year and she has enjoyed it, and I don't worry about her messing it up.

Gah we have no room for anything, so I want to be a stooge. J tends to ask santa for something that is a surprise, so we will wait to see what that is so he can deliver.
I think j is getting a bike for his bday. I want to get the woom bike, but probably will get a Raleigh one that a cycling fanatic recommended and we get some discount through work.
I think I'll try to get N some more calico critters bunnies to go with her current 2.
Clearly need to follow this thread for ideas!

This is on my maybe list for M. Real tools, not plastic things that can't be used. Amazon tool setI might get Cass a Nintendo DS. We've had issues with Kindles over the years and I'm getting sick of trouble-shooting them. Meanwhile I've had the same DS since around 2002 and it still works great. I bought some used games that are similar to the Kindle apps she plays. There's a Disney version of Apples to Apples and it's on sale now so I might get that. Apples to ApplesWhat I already have: LoLs (Both) Legos (Both) Pop-up Harry Potter book (M) DS games (both) Switch horse game (C) I need to go through the closet because I think there's one or two more things. |
