I have the schedule for Hallmark and lifetime movies saved into my phone, and somewhere I put the new Netflix ones coming out for the holiday too. Super excited! I never finished last season Silicon Valley and I don’t know if I feel like adding in HBO again. |

Birthday party canceled! Weekend away booked!
I’m so excited. I don’t typically like the idea of a waterpark, but I think the kids are going to love it and that’s enough for me!!

I went to the PTO meeting last night. I felt guilty for missing the first one and figured I should check it out. Only 20 people showed up because of the Astros game. Lol. Anyway, when I got home everyone was walking up to the house from walking the dog and looking at alloween ecorations, as H calls them.
Apparently M rode her bike without training wheels while I was gone so she was so excited to show off her new skill. I guess letting her use our friend's balance bike a few times really paid off. MH said she just got on and took off pedaling.

jewels I think that it's pretty 'normal' for the kids to realize that their world is s much bigger and are affected by what we think are little things. B sometimes gets fixated on the most mundane shit, like insisting on wearing a certain shirt where in the almost 6 years he's been here he's given zero fucks about his clothes, I chalk it up to peers and if there are tears involved it's an earlier bedtime. I've also become very strict with our weekends that there is one day that the kids can lounge in their jamjams, eating snacks and being lazy all day. They need it and LOVE it. They lounge and I putz around the house getting things done, meal prep and make a delicious dinner, it's perfect. Yes, he's also suddenly concerned with things like "I'll be the only one wearing a jacket - they will make fun of me!" I hate that he worries about these things!! He and I usually pick a day on the weekend when B is napping and make popcorn and lounge on the couch and watch a movie (or his new favorite show... Survivor). He looks forward to those days so much and B is starting to refuse naps so I'll have to find another way to get that time in! |

If you do have HBO I finally started watching Barry and it's good.
I saw Netflix has the threequel coming out for A Christmas Prince. Gotta have the baby thrown in for the grand finale.

Hi girls! I was at my sister for a few days and we had the best time! We went on little hikes, build fires, roasted marsmellows & hotdogs and just had a winderfull time together. It was sad leaving (even though she’s coming over next week), I love being there so much. Pdq a little compilation  ETA one more |

inthekitty I'm impressed that you have your shopping done. I have ideas, and some birthday stuff for C, but literally nothing for B. He is proving much more challenging for me this year. MIL's been asking for ideas but I'm afraid to give her any yet b/c *I* may need those ideas! jewels I'm cracking up at "Survivor"...B likes North Woods Law (about fish and game wardens up in NH and ME  )

nam2013 Love the pics! You all look like you are having the best time. Glad you got to spend time with your sister. I have one thing for the boys so far. Haven’t really even thought about Christmas yet. Shopping for both of them will be difficult. I just found 6 boxes of toys in my garage. 😩 I need to go through all of them and donate more than half of it. We did get the Target toy catalog in the mail yesterday. I’m not ready to go through it just yet, so I tucked it away for later.

Hello hello, finally checking in. My coworker friend was able to meet at sbux for a quick visit at the last minute, so we caught up, then ran to Old Navy and returned a bunch (I bought family PJs and realized that was an unnecessary purchase and would make mh grouchy trying to get a picture.) And then ran into Michael's to get supplies to create J's Oreo costume. Now home and trying to get our house in order. We have our wedding photographer coming Sunday and looks like rain, which means I need inside spick and span.. I wish they were today, it's gorgeous and the leaves are pretty..

We did get the Target toy catalog in the mail yesterday. I’m not ready to go through it just yet, so I tucked it away for later. Oh yes, B got the mail this morning and that was in it. Both kids were very excited to look through it. Have to admit it was pretty cute. I remember when I was little--back when dinosaurs roamed--the TRU catalogue was always epic. We also got one for Service Merchandise (did anyone else have that store??) that we liked a lot, too. Lillian Vernon was another favorite. |
