inthekitty , horrible characters! I felt the brother was way too invested in his sister's love life.

I was entertained by Fractured as well. Nothing super great or memorable in the long run, but an enjoyable watch. I watched In the Tall Grass, and agree with you klong11 that it was lacking. It never helps when I don't like any of the characters in a show. Eli is on my list. My family saw the trailer for it yesterday and my husband jumped and yelled, he won't be watching it. Madison wanted to see it of course. So I'll be watching that one solo. I downloaded the new show on Netflix where Paul Rudd clones himself. There's no way it can be bad with multiple Paul Rudd's to stare at. There are so many interesting stories out there waiting to be told and it is frustrating that most of the major movie theater movies are a slightly different rendition of the same thing. I'm on episode 4 of Paul rudd. It's different.

Several times I was thinking, wait, he's her brother, not her new boyfriend, right? He was channeling Cersei and Jaime there more than once. And of course, hello, there are bigger things at stake right now brother than whether or not your sister is getting back with her ex. Worry about that after you've escaped the creepy paranormal grass.

Hello, K and I hit the mall after drop-off and returned some gifts to Nordstrom and picked up some red leggings for N's tomato costume. Now need to figure out how to make an Oreo costume by Saturday..

I hate that this work place blocks mosts websites. I need to start researching laptops so I can have one at home. I didn’t think I would need to get a computer for at home until M started to need one for school work in a few years. The iPad sufficed for home stuff and I would always do the stuff I needed desktop for at work.
I think I want a Mac, but they are $$. Anyone know about laptops? Any others I should look at?

I have loved my MacBook Pro and have had it since before we got married (so it’s about 8 y.o. 😳) it’s slowed down a bit (which I think could be fixed for about $200) but still works very well for my purposes—web-browsing, email, etc. You’re right, tho, they aren’t cheap. My H bought one thru Apple probably 12 years ago that was refurbished and it was a good one; he saved a few hundred that way so maybe something to look into. My dad has tried about every brand imaginable and swears by Acer* for price and reliability. He works from home and everything is done on his laptop. I think that is what my sister and BIL have both gone to based on his recommendation. ETA: I originally typed Asus but it’s actually Acer

Well my 1:30 phone conference didn't happen. About 1:37 I texted her asking if it was still happening and she basically screwed up the timing. So it is now tomorrow at 1:00. No big deal in the grand scheme of things but I'm still irrationally annoyed by it.
So I typed up all the notes I had for the conference and sent them to her and the teacher so they could review and hopefully come up with ideas/responses ahead of the meeting.

lahdeedah is check out a Chromebook, it may meet your needs. We don't do much on our Mac beyond surfing the web. I do like the security for Macs though since I don't have patience for security maintenance on a PC.

Just planned a playdate for N for Sunday...with her former teacher 😂. Not sure who is going to be more excited, the teacher or her. I also confirmed her availability for N's bday since she's the only person N wants to invite🤷.

I have a visit with my psychiatrist this afternoon. MBD, she’ll just ask me the usual questions and refill my meds.
But, I don’t think I really need to bother with seeing her every three months just for that, right?
Can’t my PCP start writing my Lexapro script as long as that’s working fine and I’m stable?

cagoldi, yes. If you're stable on meds, they're working well for you, and you don't feel the need for the brief supportive counseling, I'd switch to your PCM for refills.

Has anyone watched Killing Eve? Sounds pretty good...about a female assassin in Europe and the British intelligence agent (played by Sandra Oh) who's trying to bring her down. I think we are going to start that tonight, I will report back

I get mine through my PCP now that things are stable and I feel like my anxiety is well controlled. If I ever feel like I need a change in meds I'll go back to my psychologist though. Not messing around with a PCP prescribing new drugs again.

Typical Tuesday here! I finish all laundry, deep clean, meal prep, ect since I go back to work Wednesdays. Got in a workout and 2 out of 3 kids are asleep. Hopefully MH is home soon with dog food in tow cause the dog needs some dinner and he's not happy with the delay!

Crazy day. My mom had a colonoscopy on Friday and after thought she was having a heart attack. The nurses told her she just had an air bubble in her lungs. After some oxygen she felt better. This weekend she was looking more tired than usual but was otherwise ok. Her rheumatoid arthritis has been flaring so I assumed that was it.
Around 2am she woke up thinking she was having a heart attack and was in a lot of pain. My dad took her to the ER. Her heart is fine but she has a perforated large intestine. Right now it hasn’t completely broken through so they admitted her and have her on IV antibiotics and morphine. They are going to keep her tonight and watch tomorrow and take more CT scans to monitor if it is healing with her not eating and drinking. If so she will likely spend another day and go home on antibiotics. If not then she needs surgery.
She just got into a room at about 5:30 tonight. I texted my dad at 6 to see if I can come by in the morning. It’s been 2 hrs and he hasn’t responded. He didn’t want me to come today since she was still in the ER.
My mom often has medical issues but this feels different and has my anxiety up. I also feel like I knew she wasn’t right because I’ve been thinking about her since I saw her Saturday and this morning on the way out I told C to make her something at school. I didn’t know about her being in the hospital until noon.
Tl;dr: my mom is in the hospital with a perforated bowel and I’m a bit of a mess.

Trigger warning ⚠️ infant
MH’s intern left early last week because his baby had to be taken out by emergency c-section. She was due on Halloween. We don’t have any details at all. MH has had little communication with him, but he did respond that things were not good Sunday. MH called him again today and he said the baby girl had just passed. My heart is so so heavy. I don’t know him well at all, but my heart aches for him. We don’t know what happened yet.

I have to see my psychiatrist every 3 months for med checks, too. I hate it. My PCP or my OB - can't remember - was the one who originally prescribed Zoloft, so the only thing I've gotten out of seeing a psychiatrist is a higher dosage and a mood stabilizer, which he also keeps increasing. It really feels like that's his only solution, no matter what I tell him during the visit.
