It’s red ribbon week at school and today is Dress like a superhero day. (Please don’t judge my porch that needs re-stained or my super messy counter 😂)

It's red ribbon week over here too! I think they were supposed to wear sports team shirts. We don't sport, so she just wore her school shirt. *shrug* "Teacher says we can wear our school shirts because we're a group." "You mean a team?" "Yeah, sure." ....see? we don't sport.
This morning went a lot smoother. Mh got her dressed, lunch packed, etc. There was no yelling, we got out the door on time and I was still late to work, but that was traffic's fault, not mine.

Morning! Very cute lfig! Dropped C at preschool and the bus will be here for B soon, and then I'll have a lovely couple hours of peace and quiet in an empty house Not much on the agenda until 3, when I have a parent-teacher conferences for B. He seems to be doing well so I'm looking forward to getting more insight/info.

morning! B had a good day at school yesterday (was actually on Green!) and I have my phone conference with them today at 1:30. Honestly I'm not even really sure what I expect out of it but I'm just hoping things improve.

Morning.
I’m at work. I was a few minutes late due to bad traffic. Looks like it will be a steady day. Not much else happening today.

Well, I have A but he just plays independently and occasionally walks to me for a hug and to play with a car.

jewels way to go B! Hope the trend continues and the call is productive. lfig, she's so darn cute! Does she not wear her braces around the house and only when she's out and about? She looks so strong and confident. klong11 non-sporters unite! At my work they make a big deal about football jersey Friday. It's not like they could really fire someone for wearing a football jersey every work day here, but it's specifically authorized on Fridays, but they don't recognize any other sport or event. My coworker friend and I were bitching about it and joking about wearing a leotard to work to show support for Simone Biles or getting an ironic nerd jersey like Harry Potter. I found the perfect one. It looks like a Seahawks jersey and the player name is "Impeach" and the number is 45. If only I could get away with it...

Nothing exciting today. Cass woke up early this morning as I was getting ready so I put her in my side of the bed and hopefully she got more sleep. I showed her my hard work yesterday that I found some more items in our Waldo book and she was thrilled. Points for mom.

Took J to preschool. Thank god. We needed some time apart lol. M is not behaving though, which isn't like him. I have errands but MJ screamed the 10 minute drive to school and the way home.. so maybe later.

What is red ribbon week?
I just got an email from Evie's teacher that she's complaining about her tummy hurting. I sent my mom a text, which is who she was with this morning, who confirmed she didn't eat breakfast. So she hasn't had anything to eat since dinner last night. I asked the teacher to give her a pepto or tums and if she can get in her lunch early for a snack, that would help. I can't let her go home early because of every tummy ache she gets. So I'll be talking to my mom and Evie tonight about her being required to eat something before school.

mwhip, it's like an anti-drug awareness week. They were supposed to hand out red bracelets for the kids to wear all week, but Cadence didn't mention it and I didn't see one.

jewels we are hit and miss with the braces. They are a pain in the ass. So I tend to send her to school in them (sorry teachers) and then take them off when she gets home after she’s wore them all day. Then some days I let her go without them depending on the outfit (I couldn’t cover those super cute pants with the purple at the bottom), or her mood. Lol. But she probably wears them 70% of the time.

Hi!
Got in my workout, made muffins from scratch, and got all three kids to school (early!) by myself. So I have already won the day and can go back to bed, right?

cagoldi absolutely! Don't set the bar too high for the future. Nap and catch up on shows the rest of the day. Speaking of shows, has anyone watched the movie Yesterday that came out earlier this year where all the Beatles music disappears but one guy remembers it? I watched it last week and it was really good. In a sea of remakes and sequels and Hollywood in general lacking creativity, this was interesting and fun.

Thanks for the rec, I remember seeing previews and thinking it looked good. I love the Beatles. And I agree completely about most of what's coming out of Hollywood being 'meh' right now. My parents have a great local theater up in Maine that gets THE BEST movies. Some foreign ones, but mostly just smaller/independent US films. I wish that kind of thing was more readily available in the big multiplexes. We watched another Netflix original (I think?), Fractured, the other night. Cinematic brilliance? No, but kept me watching and entertained, if you're in the mood for suspense/thriller.

I wasn't expecting the ending.

I was entertained by Fractured as well. Nothing super great or memorable in the long run, but an enjoyable watch. I watched In the Tall Grass, and agree with you klong11 that it was lacking. It never helps when I don't like any of the characters in a show. Eli is on my list. My family saw the trailer for it yesterday and my husband jumped and yelled, he won't be watching it. Madison wanted to see it of course. So I'll be watching that one solo. I downloaded the new show on Netflix where Paul Rudd clones himself. There's no way it can be bad with multiple Paul Rudd's to stare at. There are so many interesting stories out there waiting to be told and it is frustrating that most of the major movie theater movies are a slightly different rendition of the same thing.
