Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 41weeks, 10/14
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: Wednesday NST, 10/23 induction
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: birthed some Taco Bell over the weekend.
Symptoms/questions: just feeling really gd amazing
Rants: I’d like to get off this ride please. This is my first pregnancy with really intense promodal labor. Saturday night at 40+5 we went to L&D. I’m gbs +, live a solid 45 mins from the hospital, and was having painful contractions all day that kicked up to every 5 minutes. Got there to only be 3cms dilated. After a lovely 12am-4am stay, they sent me home 😭. Now, if I go into labor naturally I’m not going in until things are imminent, fingers crossed for no car baby, but no desire to repeat that fiasco again!
Raves: The end is near.
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? I was pleasantly surprised DD (3) chose being a witch over a princess this year. We’re in an all tutu everything stage of life rn. She’s requested the baby be a pumpkin, and DS (6) has chosen a costume from an obscure British YouTube kids show that will of course require us to make it. I’d love to just throw money at it and be done, but he’s really excited.

baby age: 3.5 weeks
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: hearing test on Friday (she failed her 12 and 24hr screens at birth). 1m check up next monday where we’ll hopefully finally be back to birth weight
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): girl
Milestones: More awake time 🤷🏼♀️
Symptoms/questions:
Rants: Baby cereal does not mix well in bottles 😪 Doesn’t matter how well I attempt to mix them, it settles so fast.
Raves:
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? We’ll go through the development and call it a night. We’re in a new construction development, and this is the first year our half had been fully completed. A lot of the houses are starting to decorate, so we’re optimistic that the boys will have plenty of houses to attempt to explore. They think the point of trick or treating is to enter and explore houses 😂

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 1 month old
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: mine is about 2 weeks away, he has one at 2m and tongue tie is the 28th
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): boy
Milestones:
Symptoms/questions: still a little constipated and I only spot on days that I run/go on walks now.
Rants: hate it when he’s gassy
Raves: love it when he’s snuggly
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? It’s on a run club night so we are going to go trick or treating through the neighborhood that we run through. I think there will be games and such at the event too. Our gym is having a trunk or treat thing this Friday that we plan on going to.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 3 weeks old
FTM, Etc: #4
Appointments: Ah I still need to make them 😬
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones:
Symptoms/questions: No bleeding for 2 days now so hopefully, it's almost done. Also, my bladder feels so huge these days haha it's still throwing me off that I don't have to pee every hour!
Rants: ILs are still here. They leave tomorrow (yesss) but I have so much cleaning to do 😭 they've made such a mess. Aren't you supposed to HELP when visiting a family with a new baby, not create more work? Also, a fever is running through the house. DD2 spiked a 104 degree temperature last night (but not since, thank goodness) so she's home. I'm hoping we don't all get it, especially DD3, obvs.
Raves: I get my house back tomorrow! And she's giving me a nice long nap on my chest right now. My husband stayed home to help with DD2 so I can fully enjoy her nap right now ❤️
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? The older two have a Halloween parade that day at school so I'll take them home from school and then we'll take the older 3 ToT'ing around the neighborhood and probably end the night with passing out candy. This is our first Halloween in the new house/neighborhood so we're excited to see how it is!

aeroplaneoverthesea good luck this week! Totally anecdotal, of course, but I was amazed at how great I felt the day before DD3 was born. I was disappointed thinking it wasn't a good sign of impending labor. But if you do make it to your induction, I hope all goes well!

Baby age: 16 days
FTM, Etc: 2TM
Appointments: 1-month appointment in two weeks
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: Cluster feeding, oh joy
Question: How long were your nipples sore when breastfeeding? A few weeks? Month? Mine are painful when he latches then aren't too bad the rest of the nursing session. But heaven help me if I brush them against ANYTHING.
Rants: Just wants to be on the boob. All the time. Which is a no-go because 1) Toddler to take care of and 2) my nipples are super sore, though they look healed from the bleeding injuries at least. Still fighting sleep during the day but thankfully goes down relatively easily after each nursing session MOTN (sometimes it takes 30 minutes of rocking, but hey, at least he's calm during it).
Raves: At the moment he seems to have digestive equilibrium, so no more screaming at us for that reason at least. He did sleep through the toddler's gymnastics class this morning in the carrier (the entire 50 minutes), so I'm grateful for that. My mom gets here this afternoon and stays through Saturday to help out. And she is actually helpful. H went back to work this week and I need it.
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? Gotta figure that out. We have a family costume (H planned it, per my request), just need to see what event to go to since we aren't in a neighborhood (so no trick-or-treating).

aeroplaneoverthesea - Hopefully real labor soon! Fingers crossed for no car baby! We waited until I was starting to struggle to concentrate during contractions and I got there right at transition, which worked out great!

We waited until I was starting to struggle to concentrate during contractions and I got there right at transition, which worked out great! That’s my dream scenario! With the group B Strep they asked I try to arrive 4-6 hours before delivery for IV antibiotics. I have no clue how to time it, since labor with DD was pretty quick. Otherwise we’ll have to stay in the hospital for 48 hours to monitor the baby. Not the biggest deal, but just tough for DS and DD1s routine. ETA: re: nipple soreness, mine are always terrible for the first 2-3 weeks, then sooo much better.

marshian I have a sleep-fighter most days, too. There are days where she basically refuses to nap, save for a 10-20 minute catnap here and there. It's exhausting! So, solidarity and all of the caffeine.

They are pricey but you put them over your nipples and it prevents shirts or anything else from rubbing against them

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 9 days old!
FTM, Etc: third-timer
Appointments: had our first one last Thursday, then had to go back Friday because her bellybutton thing was oozy, then went back today because she developed a full body rash which the pedi said is likely just a newborn rash as her immune system reacts to the new environment (erythema toxicum is the fancy scary name.)
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green turned pink
Milestones: milk has come in and I officially have 3 ounces in the fridge for when she clusters at night and my boob is at its max gnawing capacity.
Symptoms/questions: cramping hasn’t been too bad (people were telling me the third kid would be worse?) although today I jammed my uterus into some tight jeans and then when I unbuttoned them later, I got a huge cramp that I had to take Advil for.
Rants: this rash is annoying and of course happened on newborn photo shoot day—luckily it’s not on her face and she was swaddled the whole time so it worked out.
Raves: this kid is super chill and just blends in with our crazy family.
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? We are going as the cast of the Little Mermaid.

Good luck aeroplaneoverthesea! Almost there! marshian I still have a blister on my right boob from the first few days of cracking/bleeding and it hurts like hell when she latches for like 5 seconds and then goes away. I am curious about when it is going to heal as well.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 2 weeks
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Baby's 2nd pedi appt on Wed
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): 💙
Milestones: 🤷🏼♀️
Symptoms/questions: Is being really tired a symptom? My mom came over today and I headed straight back to bed and slept for 2 hours.
Rants: I thought it would be a good idea to take R to Disneyland the other day. We are local and have annual passes and go all the time, so we just went for a few hours. But it was still way too much, and by the time we were walking back to the car I felt like my uterus was going to fall out. I really need to take it easy.
Raves: My weight has kinda leveled out and it looks like I am only up 6 lbs from pre-pregnancy. I can't even believe it! I had like 45 lbs to lose after R and it took me 4 years. This is so different.
GTKY: What are your Halloween plans? R has changed his mind so many times. I think the latest is the pilot costume he saw at Costco, so we need to go pick that up, I suppose. 😂 The baby is going to be a pumpkin. We're going to trick or treat around our neighborhood. We also have a Halloween carnival we always go to on Friday.

My streak of being at the pedi weekly continues 😪
Emergency appointment due to blood in her diaper. They were somehow able to confirm it was milk proteins not being digested from her diaper. Poor thing. They also confirmed that this is the probable cause for her reflux, too. The pediatrician wasn’t shocked at all that this is where we are at and said it makes sense in a way 🤷🏼♀️ Kids are strange, man

Almost there! marshian I still have a blister on my right boob from the first few days of cracking/bleeding and it hurts like hell when she latches for like 5 seconds and then goes away. I am curious about when it is going to heal as well. Ouch! I latched S on my bare nipple today to see how it went and seems fine. I'm going to start alternating feeds with and without the shield and see how it goes. I'm so hesitant though because the injuries hurt like hell and I don't want to repeat them.
