I'm finishing up work this weekend. Hopefully we'll be released soon. I had my PT test this morning and kicked ass. A personal best for me with esily maxing sit-ups and push-ups. I think I got my best recorded time ever on the run. And then I was totally demoralized with being taped for weight standards and being overweight. I exercise daily and can certainly eat better but overall eat healthily. It drives me nuts because I don't know what else I can do. When I taped myself I passed and the people taping today weren't trained in it. I'm going to try as hard as I can the next two weeks before my weekend job comes up again hope the people familiar with taping regulations are here then. I'm like Charlie Brown right now.

TLDR; I'm fat according to my job and it bums me out.

Finally home from the in laws. They bought C a new bike for when he’s down there. It nice to have one there so we don’t need to cart it back. Since they got him a bike he and his two cousins wanted to bike a lot today. Except his cousins can hardly bike on training wheels (9yo and 5.5yo). Their parents use the excuse that they live on a busy road but they just moved there two years ago. Really the issue is my SIL panics when they fall or are about to fall which makes them panic. So she’s raising two girls afraid to bike. Meanwhile she’s teaching them flips and they are in gymnastics. I just don’t get it. At least they do that though. It wouldn’t be an issue if they weren’t interested in biking but they really want to learn and the older one is embarrassed about her lack of skill.

Otherwise it was good. I have such a busy week ahead juggling work and personal stuff. I’m not looking forward to it.

Sorry inthekitty that's a bummer. There seems to be an ongoing discussion (in the Navy anyway) about taping and how it's really not the most accurate or effective way to measure service members' health/fitness levels. DH says he sees people get screwed every time. So don't beat yourself up...hopefully your follow-up will be better.

I’m waiting for my professor to give me my grades from this last week. I can’t put my finishing touches on my finals until I know what he thought of last weeks (it’s building on it). I just finals week to be over.

E asked me if he was doing cheerleading next Saturday. Apparently he really enjoyed it . Maybe I'll sign him up for dance (harder to find gym at a time that would work for us)

Being taped means if you don't meet the height/weight standards (I'm 16 lbs over the absolute maximum for my height which I think is utterly ridiculous) then they see if you're in BMI standards my measuring your neck, waist, hips/butt. It's completely embarrassing. It's always after exercising and you have to expose your midriff and underwear when you're sweaty and stinky.

Our hospital has digital BMI scales which would be much more accurate. Taping doesn't account for muscle.

I also think it's stupid that weight makes a difference when you can do the physical tests.

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm really bummed right now but hoping I make it in 2 weeks and and quit obsessing over everything I eat.
