ohhhhhhh Pete just lost the 18-24 vote What was this in regard to? I admit I could only take so much and kinda tuned it out after awhile. He was kinda fatalistic about being able to stem the tide of mass shootings right on the heels of Beto mentioning March for Our Lives and it came off as dismissive

perfect answer from Kamala on guns. Frame the seriousness of the problem, connect with it personally, then tell us what you're going to do about it. And they can't really hit back at executive action with "how?"

I'm tired of hearing, "I'm the only one on this stage" from Joe. I know that's his point of strength but, mix it up a little

Not only did Castro bring police brutality into the conversation, but he gave a really good rebuttal to the concept of mandatory buybacks and did it without sounding like a jerk. POC aren't necessarily going to love police officers coming knocking on their doors demanding they hand over their weapons. Such an important point.

this question about opioids and rural communities is a GIFT to Klobuchar.
She does a great job calling the pharmaceutical companies on the carpet, refers to her plan (so maybe people will visit her webpage and read about it and maybe throw a few bucks her way while they are there), then tells a personal story of her father's recovery to offer a voice of hope and grace/forgiveness for those struggling.
That was her best answer yet, IMO

So yeah, lol, Yang literally wants to decriminalize small amounts of heroin.
That's just ludicrous. There are so many other steps we could take before we got there.
Reduce/eliminate sentences in favor of inpatient addiction treatment? Increase accessibility for addiction treatment? Expand needle exchanges? Like, way to go from zero to three thousand there, buddy

Those moves might resonate with a certain demographic (::cough:: white moderate dudes ::cough: , but it is not going to help him broaden his coalition.

ok actually Beto is talking about decriminalizing marijuana bc it can be used for similar purposes as opioids but isn't addictive. Very good.

Good for Bernie for calling them out on not letting him answer the question about opioids. He's been consistently yelling about this for years.

Important point from the Crooked livestream: It's nice that we all talked about accountability for big pharma but there is a whole lot more that contributed to the opioid epidemic (unemployment, lack of proper healthcare, the cost of other prescription drugs, etc) and a lot of collateral damage from it that wasn't touched on (although a couple of people, like Kamala, did talk about ending mass incarceration for low level drug offenses).

Erin Burnett lets him address opioids and he...takes the opportunity to shout about capitalism and needing a revolution.

I hate how media and the misogynoir of American society has shoehorned Kamala Harris. My favorite Harris moments are when she is fiery, direct, and aggressive in Senate committee hearings. She is brilliant and relatable to me in her prosecutorial role. I feel like she has had to hide her light more than a little in these awful debates to avoid appearing too aggressive toward her colleagues. Town halls are better forums for her because she can speak passionately about the issues without being forced into seeming adversarial.

Bernie's response on his health was sincere and warm and I think it's good, for the voters, that he had a chance to address it.

Yang saying that competition won't solve all the problems and that nobody uses inferior platforms bc they are inferior is kind of a naive explanation of the fundamental problems with big tech, IMO
