DD's center is closed today for staff training so she is home. My H and I are tag teaming the day so I hope it isn't too hectic work-wise. DS also has MEA on Th/Fri but he's still going to school for day care program. Hopefully he'll like it.

I've always been a morning person, but kids and getting up early for work for so long have ruined my ability to sleep in - I'm excited about sleeping until 6:30. The good news is I also fall asleep early most of the time (planned or not) so it all works out.

I just have to accept that going to bed at 8:30pm when I’m in Vegas is my normal. Lol

Zach got stung by a honey bee yesterday. He started fussing outside and I looked over and he had it in his hands. He got stung before I could get to him. His hand was red and swollen last night, but seems to be fine today.
His well check went well this morning, but their vision screening show an astigmatism so now we get to go to an eye doctor. I really needed one more thing to worry about....
He's doing better at night, but he's been waking up ridiculously early so still tired. We'll get there one day.

Thanks everyone. It went well! It was mainly info for my teacher, but the coach mentioned how well I dealt with the children who were struggling and that I had great interactions.

So I was pissed at DH for not asking me how my review went. I was even going to send him a passive aggressive text when I went to bed because I couldn't sleep. (Real mature, I know). So I said something to him today. And he misunderstood and thought that I was being observed, not getting the results of my review. Good thing I didn't blow up at him.

So DD is cruising around with her walker really well but not walking independently yet. I know she's capable of walking on her own, but will not try. Most of the time when I try to practice with her, she sits down on her butt. Maybe she's scared? She was a late crawler as well. I know one day she'll just decide to do it, but I'm wondering when.

This is DS3. The daycare provider is working with him too and he's just not interested.
They will figure it out. They can't crawl forever.

cara, ohreally, same here. He's 14 months, and is well in to "magic feather" stage where he just thinks he needs to hold on to something. We're working with him, as is DCP. When are we supposed to be concerned that they're not walking?

Z has had super low energy the last couple of days. Enough so that I'm concerned and we're waiting at Children's. He couldn't even hold himself up for lunch today. He has no interest in playing or anything. He's just been laying on the floor or sleeping.

I felt like Charlie learned to walk at a glacial pace. Cruised for at least 3 months, stood still unassisted for a good 1.5 months, took the tiniest steps between 2 really close pieces of furniture. Finally, it randomly clicked and he did it when he was ready. Our pedi also said 18 months is when they get concerned.

Labs were all normal as was the physical exam. He perked up a little bit when we got home, but I'm still concerned. He slept the entire time we were there other than when they were poking and prodding and we were there for 5 hours. He kept trying to lay down in the bath tub....we're supposed to follow up with the pedi by Friday.

DS will be 15 months on the 1st and isn't walking unassisted yet. He cruises great and will walk holding our hands. But he hasn't learned how to stand up on his own, without pulling up on something. I feel like that's keeping him from progress, because he also doesn't stand without holding on to something. I'm not worried but I'm ready for him to walk because people keep asking me if he's walking yet.

Not that that's what you want, but it would be an explanation. I'm glad tests were normal. I hope he perks up!

That's both relieving and not PennyCandy. Ugh, I hate he isn't feeling well. I know this is doing a number on you.

DD was this way for a long too. Right around 15 months (13.5 adjusted), she took tiny steps and then one day, I set her down after a nap (she could stand independently but couldn’t stand up without holding on to anything) and she started to walk. After that, she started walking more and more often and was able to stand up independently.
