Last night I was having some pinching sensations around where my left ovary should be and I convinced myself I’m experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. Then I woke up and was able to talk myself off the ledge. My first ultrasound on Wednesday can’t come soon enough.
I wish I could be more zen about early pregnancy.
Anyone else obsessing over anything pregnancy-related?

Does looking at the toilet paper to check for blood every time I pee count as obsessing? This is my 4th pregnancy and hopefully my 3rd baby, so I'm pretty good at being calm through all the random twinges and aches and cramps. But I still have to remind myself at times.

Full on basket case over here. I’m a toilet paper checker, notice every twinge. It doesn’t help that I had some spotting last evening and then again tonight. I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday but am going to call in the morning to see if they can squeeze me in tomorrow.

I am...every twinge I’m kind of freaking out. I just can’t wait to hear a strong heart beat. And comparing my current HCG levels to DD’s levels is also not helpful. I feel the anxiety...I just love this little poppy seed so much!

My OB was able to get me in for an US today. I’m sitting in the parking lot waiting to go in.

Still spotting here. I was hoping I would feel less anxious after my ultrasound but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I was a wreck I had a SCH, but it healed and I didn’t spot again throughout the whole pregnancy. I know spotting can be super stressful, hugs.

magaroni I know it’s hard, but I hope you can take some solace in the stats about miscarriage risk going WAY down after seeing a heartbeat! I’ve never had an SCH, but I have had a lot of spotting in a couple of prior successful pregnancies. With DS1 I had what I thought was a full period. I think the more babies you’ve had, the more leftover stuff there is in your body to cause weirdness (this is my purely unscientific theory .

I just started bleeding. I want to go to Emerg and see if they will do bloodwork or something, because it's Thanksgiving so I won't even be able to call my doctor until Tuesday. But I also feel weird going to Emerg for something thats not technically an emergency.

I’m sorry danib . When I’ve been in that situation before I didn’t go because I figured there wasn’t anything they would be able to do about it - but I know many women who have gone and I think that’s totally fine too. I’m sure it would be comforting to get an US one way or the other - if you decide not to go today, I hope your doctor can get you in tomorrow.

Hugs danib. I work in the emergency room and trust me when I say we see a lot of people that aren’t there for true emergencies. Peace of mind is worth a lot.

I decided to go in. They did bloodwork and my numbers looked normal. The doctor also did a quick ultrasound and warmed me that their machine is not great for picking up early pregnancy stuff, it's not as clear. But we did see a gestational sac. So we're taking that as reassurance that right now I am still pregnant. She set up an appointment for me to go to the Women's clinic Tuesday (tomorrow is a holiday here) to have a proper ultrasound done and I'll get a second blood draw done as well. The doctor was really nice and reassuring. I'm exhausted from it all, but trying to stay positive.

I’m kind of in beta limbo. My HCG levels are doubling about every 80 hours instead of 48-72 hours. My RE said it’s too early to tell. I’m trying not to be a total wreck, I’m also trying not to go to a private lab to keep checking my HCG. Wednesday seems to far away. I’m really trying not to be a wreck. Whoever said you are less anxious during your second pregnancy lied....at least for me it’s not holding to be true.

danib that’s good that they were able to see the gestational sac. Hopefully they get some better pictures tomorrow. ttcbabyj beta limbo is the worst. Fingers crossed for good numbers on Wednesday.

magaroni and danib thank you! Beta #1 to beta #2 everything was fine. I’m just trying to stay positive and not just totally freak out. I keep thinking about when I was spotting during pregnancy with DD. And trying to stay off Google.

I'm less sick today. Which I know means nothing. But after my threatened miscarriage last weekend and continued spotting, every little thing is making me anxious.

I had a large gush of blood Wednesday evening. Luckily I was still at work so I did an ultrasound and still saw a heartbeat. I spotted all day yesterday but woke up in the night last night with pretty bad cramping and heavier bleeding today. I’m heartbroken if this is the end but also I just want to know so I can be sad and start accepting that we are done having babies.

I’m sorry that you’re dealing with that too magaroni! danib my symptoms definitely come and go too. With my third baby I had more nausea than I had with prior pregnancies and one day it magically went away at 9 weeks and never came back. I freaked but everything was fine.

And logically I do know it. I'm just messed up from last weekend. I was consistently sick with my boys until into the second trimester. It would be nice to avoid that this time lol.

My nausea/vomiting has been a lot less awful the last two days and I’m panicking a lot. Most of the embryos didn’t grow past 5 weeks even when I carried them longer so I’m so worried that this means I’m miscarrying again.

I can preach "symptoms do not indicate viability", but I know when you're in the thick of it it can be hard to find reassurance. Do you have any follow up appointments soon?
