PennyCandy are you nursing MOTN? What does he normally need or want? I agree that at this point he should not be waking up. You need to get your sleep back. Maybe pick a weekend to sleep train. Get some ear plugs and put your H on kid duty MOTN. The first night will be the hardest.

Today’s my oldest’s first field trip. I’m going with. As we were getting ready the baby threw up everywhere, all over me, all over the floor. It was like the exorcist.
So, dh is on his way home.
Fun stuff.

He wants a bottle. I'm so paranoid about his teeth since J is having so much trouble and he is also on a steroid inhaler, that I really want/need him to wean off the middle of the night bottle. I brush his teeth after the bedtime bottle and in the morning and then wipe his mouth out after the motn one, but it's probably not enough.
I know he's capable of sleeping through. He does it a couple of nights a week. I just have a hard time with crying at night. DH typically sleeps through it all so I really just need to remove myself from the situation for a few nights until he figures it out.

This morning has been a shit show. James was awake at 5am. I have no idea why. Zach launched himself off of the changing pad/dresser and pretty much did a back flip and landed on his knees. He's fine, it just scared him. I gave DH his flu shot and Hep A shot. I dropped one of the syringes and it landed in my leg. You would think it would just be a little puncture. Nope, it formed a hematoma about the size of a half dollar. I had to change clothes since it bled through my pants. DH dressed J in shorts even though it's not supposed to be that nice today so I had to change him too. He flipped the eff out over the pants I put on him and cried all the way to daycare about it so I had to change him again once we got to daycare. Then he wanted a snack so I had to go back to Zach's room to find something for him to eat. Zach is fine, but clingy and super whiny.

DH’s car broke down yesterday afternoon. Luckily he was in the neighborhood and was able to pull over safely (he had just picked L up from daycare). We tried getting AAA to send out a tow truck yesterday evening, but no one ever showed. So DH called a local repair shop and they’ll get it towed this afternoon. Ugh. Luckily DH has his old Jeep he can drive while the car is in the shop. I just hope it’s not an insanely expensive fix.

Haley is having a hard time going back to sleep when I nurse her early morning, so I am weaning off that, but that means pumping some to not be uncomfortable by lunchtime. I definitely don't miss pumping. How many times per day are you nursing? I nurse 3x a day. Early morning, when I get home at 4, then bedtime. She gets milk in her cup for lunch. With DD1, I only nursed her at bedtime until she was 2 so I'd like to get down to that within a few weeks

PennyCandy it is definitely hard to listen to them cry. Hopefully you can get it solved soon

Reduce the size of the bottle over the course of some time. #2. Stop the bottle cold turkey. I would probably go with option #2 since he's way past the age of needing a MOTN feed and you obviously need your sleep back. I really hope your H can pitch in and help with this. You've been doing it all. Turn up the monitor on high and put it next to his ear while you sleep somewhere else. I do think you need to pick a night when you're fully committed to do this. What I've heard from anybody who has sleep trained is that the first night or two they cry but once you get through those couple nights they typically stop waking up. You can do this!

I think at this point if you stop the morning feed your supply will adjust quickly. Maybe just pump a small amount the firsts couple days. Last week DH and I had a date night so I didn't nurse DD before bed. In the past I would have pumped when I got home but I said screw it lol. When I woke up the next morning I had no discomfort. All that to say that you might be fine to stop at this point.

That was what I was thinking. I know it doesn't take long to adjust. Like I am stuck at work until 7:30 tonight for an open house. I'm sure I will be pretty uncomfortable by the time I get home. 🙄😬

kam3100 how's the baby feeling? And how was the field trip? As a teacher, I hated field trips. Sorry kids, I will likely never volunteer to chaperone.

The field trip was crazy. I wanted to be there the first time she went on one but my goodness it was chaos. Thanks for asking!

klw, he's doing just fine! He crawls to get around mostly, but still cruises if there's something to hold on to. Somehow he can even take a few steps, which is crazy because they have his toe pointing down. Sponge baths are a pain though. I'm hoping that things look good in a week when they xray again. Thanks for asking!

Today is my ILs anniversary party. We are going around 10 to set up. H has gone a few times lately without her morning nap so cross everything that it works out today. 😉

C has become interested in trying to stick his legs through the crib slats. It makes me nervous that he will try to climb out soon. Or break his leg or get stuck. We're going to be in sleep sacks forever.

She would scoot down and get her legs stuck in the crib slates when she was asleep

It's actually so much better because now I don't feel like my whole day revolves around two naps. At first she was getting tired around 11ish but now she goes down at 1 and sleeps for 3 hours.

DS was in a sleep sack too at this age.

DS was in a sleep sack until we moved him from the crib around 22 months. I love those things. We did move him to the sacks with leg holes, they looked like MC Hammer pants. It was great.

I had a realization today about my anxiety. It ramped up when DD stopped nursing a few weeks ago. This article is helping me feel better: www.cosmopolitan.com/health-fitness/a19886616/breastfeeding-weaning-depression-anxiety/I talked with two (females that both nursed their kids) doctors about my anxiety and mentioned how DD was done nursing and neither one made the connection. But I was already prone to anxiety prior to having kids, so that didn't help. I just don't remember feeling this way when I stopped pumping with DS.

Wow pbandjelly that is a great article. Did you and your H have your date night? We went out last night. We went to dinner, to a bar for a drink and dessert, then the bookstore (and bought books for the kids). It was a lot of fun.

I have been so productive today. 4 loads of laundry folded AND put away. Kitchen and family room cleaned up and mopped the kitchen floor. I have DD1 cleaning up her toy room. H is hanging a new thermostat and then he is going to the grocery store.
