My best friend growing up had lice constantly. My mom treated her hair on our porch everytime she came over before she was allowed in.. her mom insisted that dying your hair killed them. So she would just dye her and the older girls hair and treat friends head. Spoiler: it didnt work.

A moved our play ground down yesterday and got the boys climbing dome built this morning. I bought a used deck box and painted it. Waiting for it to dry and then move it and all the boys outdoor toys out of the garage and by their play set. I cleaned up the garage too and sprayed for spiders. We have huge wolf spiders..... downside of living in the woods/hayfield.
Going to a tractor show in a bit. We'll be there through dinner.

We had a hockey game this morning, DD is finishing up a soccer game now, and T has one later. I’m skipping all of it to keep C home. He’s doing well but no need to expose him to too much. I’m hoping I get time to run to the mall. Next Saturday is the shower/high school reunion day. I have plenty of dresses I can wear for the shower but I need to figure out what to wear to the reunion. I have been purging today. Just made T mad because I made him try on hundreds of articles of clothing from attic so I can figure out what I need to buy.

vino I haven’t seen that movie but I read the book and loved it. I should really watch it since Khaleesi is in it. I dont know who you’re talking about here but the movie was very good. |

We have already had a lice report from school, but Cadence didn't get any.
We use a rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner combo and rosemary is a lice deterrent so hopefully we won't ever get them. We also have a fairy tales detangler spray that is rosemary and tea tree oil.

We just got back from a car seats and treats event at a dealership. The kids had fun and loved all the treats. We left with hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. I would have stayed a little longer, but mid 90s temps make it hard to enjoy anything outside.
The kids are now playing quietly. Hoping M2 goes down for his nap soon. I need to straighten up around the house. Not sure what is on the agenda for the rest of the day.

Morning angels. Closer than my peeps you are to me, baby... She was there through my incarceration I wanna show the nation my appreciation. I've been on a Shaggy kick. Did you know he made an entire album with Sting? I'm intrigued by the GG fest guster. Have fun! Today the girls and I might go to a rat show--like a dog show but for people who are probably more histrionic. If we do we'll take the ferry over through Seattle on our way home. C and I went to a farmers market and polo game this morning. I feel pretentious even typing that. After we got home we put up Halloween decorations outside. I need one more thing and then I’m done. I just don’t know what that thing is yet.
While we were decorating the new neighbors with two boys came over and they are all playing and picked up more neighbors. We chatted for a long time and toured our respective houses. It was nice. But like @sunny said, being social is draining. So I’m going to rest for a bit. Not a bad Saturday.

My massage was wonderful. My low back feels so good, but I’m definitely feeling a little more pressure from baby’s head. Fingers crossed for some progress at my appt Monday.
Dh and I both managed to be pretty productive for a few hours. I got both our vehicles vacuumed out and car seat bases installed and the other car seats rearranged. Cleaned out the camper for the year and a few other random things. Now I’m laying in bed for a bit before we head over to our friends.

Exciting day, j was out with a buddy all day and is barely functioning he's so tired. We took N to buy underwear at target and some cute fall booties since shoes are 20% with cartwheel. We got home and I promptly developed a fever...already got to urgent care and it's a UTI, so hoping abx fix it up quickly. We have visitors tomorrow, so I'm hoping I'm fine for that. We also have a block party tonight, but may be an abbreviated appearance. Off to chug water...

The Gilmore girls fest was a bit of a bust (for us). There was a group there (maybe 100 people) who bought tickets to the whole weekend festival. One of the events was to come to this town next to mine and spend the afternoon to see the gazebo and visit all the local shopsthat had planned Gilmore Girls events (the book store was doing readings withAndrew, the olive oil store had a tea party?, Mrs Kim was at the antique shop, the photo place did recreation of Gilmore Girls covers from dvds and a year in the life).
We quickly walked through, felt lame, and went to have a late lunch!

The rat show didn't disappoint. Some major oddballs there including a very large man in very small jorts and a guy who was channeling JVN and wearing a crocheted granny blanket turned into a jacket. They were all very nice though. The girls fell in love with a rattie they would name either Marshmallow or Vanilla. I'm going to dangle getting rats as a carrot for responsibility and keeping the house clean.
