There's no way every Dem Senator knew this was happening and did nothing. It would have leaked. That's where I am. Hell, Booker has already shown he will leak if he needs to.

Schatz clarified
Let me put it more precisely. We didn’t have the evidence yet, but the suspicion was widely held. It is why Durbin and Murphy forced the issue in Appropriations, which coincided with the release of the money.

CIA's top lawyer made criminal referral to DOJ about whistleblower's allegations: Is this separate from the criminal referral made by the IG? Yes and no? The article said this: "While that timeline and the CIA general counsel's contact with the DOJ has been previously disclosed, it has not been reported that the CIA's top lawyer intended the call to be a criminal referral about the president's conduct, acting under rules set forth in a memo governing how intelligence agencies should report allegations of federal crimes." So sounds like it's more information on that referral. His own appointees thought he committed a crime.

Everyone coming out of the Atkinson deposition seems to think the impeachment is becoming a slam dunk

ohhhh maaaaannnn I didn't make that connection.
During the 5 hours between Volker saying how wrong he thought the quid pro quo was and Sondland's weird lawyerly response saying NO COLLUSION and shutting down the text exchange...
...Congress got the IG report.

Was it the whole Senate or just a few select garbage heads who are still spinning for 45? ETA: I ask because in the tweet quoted within the tweet, it says one knew who confronted 45 who lied to him. WSJ reported that Ron Johnson knew. And now Schatz says everyone knew? I don’t know if you read the WSJ article but Johnson talked to them and is quoted. I’m confused what his end game is.

My thinking is that it's CYA. He thinks the fact that he talked to POTUS will come out so he's getting out ahead of it.

::mic drop:: "The letter shows that addressing corruption in Ukraine's Prosecutor General's office had bipartisan support in the US and further undercuts a baseless attack made by President Donald Trump and his allies that Biden pressured the Ukrainian government to fire then Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to stop investigations into a Ukrainian natural gas company that his son, Hunter Biden, sat on the board of. There is no evidence of wrongdoing by either Joe or Hunter Biden, nor is it clear whether Hunter was under investigation at all. Trump called the 2016 dismissal of the Ukrainian prosecutor "unfair" in his July 25 call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying, "A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved," www.cnn.com/2019/10/03/politics/gop-senators-echoed-biden-on-ukraine-reforms-kfile/index.html

I was looking at the comments (I know) and someone said via CNN reporting that there was possibly another cia whistleblower getting ready to come forward. Have we heard that too, or is just speculation?

I was rewatching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in the bath because, Halloween, y'know? Anyway, during the leadup to and the act of the dark baptism all I could think was that the high priest should be Lindsey Graham and the Dark Lord should be Donald Trump and Sabrina should be ALL REPUBLICAN ELECTEDS

I mean *come ON* "I was told this was all about freedom but it turns out it's actually all about doing what the leader or those he has deputized tells us to do" It's the 2019 GOP.

I am going to start needing an "Oh Shit" meter (1 being normal and 10 being all out chaos) for every day this continues. I am in the midst of a family weekend get-together and can't figure out what it all means.
Today seems significant?
