The air is crisp and cool here this morning!
Now I fight the battle with my kids to wear pants instead of shorts.

It was only 48 degrees here this morning. I love it.
I'm so not ready for Monday. It's going to be a busy week.

It was so hot here this weekend but today is cooler. This in-between summer/fall weather is frustrating. I start the morning in long sleeves and then am dying by the afternoon.

Fall is fine but it just means cold weather and getting dark early are that much closer, so I really don't look forward to it. It's hot here all week, but I did have to put the kids in pants 2 days last week. I was relieved to see that Charlie finally fit into 12 month clothes.

Charlie has really upped his non-verbal communication this past week. Daycare taught him to sign for more, and he has been doing that any time he is hungry, so at least I know what he wants. If he wants to go outside, he goes and bangs on the door or walks towards with his hand up to lead you there. He also waves at people and blows kisses all the time. It's so sweet.

Happy autumn! It’s still in the 80’s-90’s here. I’m headed up to Flagstaff for training tomorrow so I can enjoy cooler weather while I’m there. Then I’m back and we have pest control coming and a dog trainer coming.
Guys, I have found four scorpions in the last two weeks. And this house has been here 19 years. In 19 years there were two. I’m very not okay with it, hence the pest control.
Also, remember the golden retriever puppy we got? Well, he’s huge and really hard to handle. He’s a crazy dog. I’m having trouble getting him to obey. Hence the trainer.
On a positive note, the kids are fine! Haha

I’ve been really watching what I eat to lose the baby weight and I have been losing a little. However, I’m sure my results would be much better if I started working out again. I’m just so tired after work and then our shuffle with the kids in the evening, that I’m not sure where to find the motivation. All I want to do is relax.

I lost all my baby weight within the first couple weeks. But have since gained about 20 pounds. 😭 H and I are both trying to lose. But it sucks so bad. Excerise would definitely help, but I think I am dealing with the same issues that you are.

I don't have the energy to really think about food or exercise. I'm still almost 10 pounds heavier than pre-pregnancy weight. It's just not something I can focus on right now so I will koko. I keep hoping when the kids are a little older things will be a little more manageable.

Scorpions would send me over the edge. I hope they get taken care of.

But there is zero time. Charlie is so unpredictable when he gets up in the morning, that that's definitely out too.

It's so hard to get back to "normal" whatever that is. I like to work out, and my philosophy is that something is better than nothing. Even if that means a 10 minute walk with the stroller, we all got out, and I got some exercise in.

Zachary was up 4 times last night, which means I should probably make an appointment to have his ears checked. I am completely swamped right now though. Maybe I can get him in this afternoon.

We will have C's 15 month appointment at the beginning of November. I'm actually going to shoot for Friday the 1st. Should I wait on his flu shot until then or get it for him earlier? He will get at least one vaccination that day.

so i think it's fine to wait until his physical unless you hear about flu activity in your area before then.
DS3 and DS2 are going to get theirs at DS3's physical in mid-October and DS1 is getting his in early October.

He will get at least one vaccination that day. If he didn't get one last year, he'll need two (first one, then a booster) a month apart. I'd try to schedule the first a month before the 15 month appointment. We have a flu shot clinic about 5 weeks before our 15 month checkup, and we're going to do his first one at the clinic, second at the checkup.

When and how did/will you get rid of the paci?
DS doesn't need it - he never uses one at daycare - but it is a really easy way to get him to go to sleep. We only give it to him at sleep times (which includes when we're out and about past nap or bed time and he's cranky).

For my oldest I didn’t get rid of it until she was 2.5 years old and I took it away cold turkey. She cries like she lost her best friend the first night and a little the next night and then she was fine. The dentist told me to get rid of the paci before she turns three.

Same boat here. Except we had his ears checked twice last week. The doctor did think there were molars cutting, so I'm assuming that's it. He was fussy at daycare and had a 99 temp, but was fine at home last night and this morning, so WTH kid??? The Motrin didn't help. He also wanted to comfort nurse MOTN, and he has never been a comfort nurser. I hope tonight is better for both of us.

I know we should probably ditch it, but being as we're in the same room for another 6ish weeks, I am not getting rid of it yet. Cannot CIO in the same room. And even then, I'll probably keep putting it off..

He uses it for sleeping and maybe a total of 2 hours during the day. I don't think he would care if it wasn't available during the day, but I'm sure he would at night. My goal is by the time he is 2.

One day we'll sleep again, one day.
