I felt like a boss last night. Picked up the girls from TKD, got them fed and showered, went over Cass' HW with her while she ate. Vacuumed, started laundry and dishes. Went to my class and then when we got home we started our first game of Monopoly. Cass was flush with properties. That girl's going to make me broke. We'll continue tonight.

FFWC: I don't think I've ever actually finished a game of Monopoly inthekitty. I'm impressed you are seeing it through!

Working on my grocery list and simultaneously browsing Carter's since I've got some "Carters cash" to use up this week. I also just got an email from our realtor down in FL, with a summary of the listings, sales prices, etc. in the last 6 months in our target neighborhood. That is why I love her...she's so proactive and keeps us looped in. I'm trying to keep my house- stalking hunting tempered until after the holidays, then it's game. on.

At the pedi for MJ's 2 month check up. She grew 3 inches since her 1 month visit. She's now completely off the charts for height and at 98% for weight.

Morning! Quiet morning today. Kids both had school, so I had the luxury of going grocery shopping alone. Afterwards I had a quiet coffee in silence. Kids are currently snacking on their raw veggies in front of the tv, while I’m making the rest of their dinner.

cagoldi I forgot to comment yesterday, but I’m so happy for you! Plus flying with a baby, bring enough food they like and enough diapers to not have to worry when your flight is delayed. We’ve experienced this first hand, it wasn’t fun. Bring a bottle for take of and landing. And we use nasal spray too, it supposedly helps if their ears hurt. Bring change of clothes for yourself and P and some ribbons to attach to toys, just so you can attach them to something and you don’t have to constantly pick them of the floor. Oh and we also bring some wrapped items (could even be a box of raisins) for dire moments, it is a great distraction:). ETA oh and a blanket, on shorter flights they usually don’t hand out blankets and it does get cold on a plane, especially if you’re lucky and they fall asleep 😉.

Also am I the only one who will edit a post when I see a spelling error? I edit...whether it's a typo or for clarity. I tend to be somewhat verbose and will also try and shorten things if they seem to run on after I post, lol.

Also am I the only one who will edit a post when I see a spelling error? I do all the time. There are also rare occasions where I see it, but shrug it off. Usually if I’m at work and busy but still trying to post. Lol

I always edit too. Early in our group's formation there was an unsaid "rule" to type "ETA (edited to add): fixed typos" or whatever you changed or edited. It was during a much more paranoid time of our origin in which people felt even if they made the slightest change to a post they must state exactly what it was. This wasn't specific to us but all across the forum. I'm glad we're past that because I thought it was over the top.

I just agreed to work all the days until further notice. 😩 It could be a few days, it could be weeks.
One of our tech’s dad has been sick and his health declining. I think he is now in hospice, so she will be out.
I really wish I would have stayed at the DMV this morning.

Also am I the only one who will edit a post when I see a spelling error? I edit if I notice...I usually try to re-read before clicking post though. Like this morning, I meant to type 'sweatshirt' but instead typed 'sweatshit.' I quickly changed that!

I always edit it. I use dictation and it constantly picks up either on background noise or just gets a word wrong or leaves one out.

Hello. I didn’t sleep last night because at 10:30 DD came to say she had a headache so I was listening for her to vomit and stressing that I would already be calling out of work but she slept all night and woke up fine. Now I’m at the urologist waiting for my 6 month kidney ultrasound because of the disease they found when I had my stones. There are a lot of people here so hopefully a lot of doctors are working today.

Silly question: if I am checking the car seat do o just hand them the base and the seat at the check-in counter?

Silly question: if I am checking the car seat do o just hand them the base and the seat at the check-in counter? Depends. In Boston we could just check them in, in Amsterdam we had to drop them at special luggage after check in tagged them. ETA I think I misinterpreted your question. We put a bag around them this time, last time they put a big clear plastic bag around the seat. The bags are quite cheap on amazon and I liked being able to have my hands free. I looked like an idiot though with that massive bag on my back!

I decided to risk coming to the DMV after picking up M. It’s actually not busy at the end of day and I’m next so hoping to be out in the next 10-20 min. I’m just trying to avoid having to go in late to work next week.

Silly question: if I am checking the car seat do o just hand them the base and the seat at the check-in counter? You should get a bag to put it in, even a cheap one so it doesn't get grease on it. Then you can check it when you check in, or can gate check if You feel like lugging it through the airport. I always throw tons of shoes and diapers in the carseat bag since it's free luggage.

Hey. We are currently at dance class. I went to the garden center while the girls were at school this morning, and that’s always bad news lol. I want to plant one of the plants exactly where the decomposing rabbit is so it’s staying in it’s pot for the moment. I stayed up way too late last night watching the BIP finale so I took a nap with S this afternoon.

I was annoyed for a minute when Dude asked for an ET Party complete with ET Piñata and balloons. Well, eBay to the rescue. I found vintage balloons, hats, plates, and napkins, and a Speak and Spell. I’m going to get some potted flowers and gummy frogs in little jars for decoration. Dude is dressing up as Elliot, and we’re going to have an extra red hoodie for the kids to wear so they can have their picture taken on a tricycle with ET in the basket in front of a big moon backdrop. The piñata arrived today and it’s awesome!

I thought evie was just being a shit this morning, overtired...turns out shes actually sick. She came home and took a 1.5 hr nap. I took her temp and its 101.7. Guess she will miss school tomorrow.
Also means we have to miss dinner with friends. So now I have to figure something out.
