When you do walking tacos at home, do you actually still eat them out of the bag? I do not, I dump it all on a plate

I can understand out and about, keeps them confined. But at home, my plate keeps them confined, which is why I was asking. I feel like the bag would get hot, I'd drop it and my dogs would end up eating it all. Seems like way more trouble than it's worth, for a little bag of fritos. Lol. But it's not a taco! Sounds more like a frito pie or something. I think it’s pretty similar. Fritos with taco toppings on it. We always do ground beef taco meat.

When you see them at concession stands or whatever they usually have both Fritos and Doritos to choose from. Up here in the Midwest we don’t have authentic type tacos. When I make them at home we have flour tortillas, ground beef taco meat, lettuce, shredded cheese, guac, sour cream and that’s about it. Some people put tomatoes on theirs but no one in my family likes that (same with salsa). Sometimes I will get queso to put on my tacos also.

cagoldi are you back to eating meat or do you just make something else for yourself when the kids are eating meat? Still making something separate for myself but considering just going back to omnivorous diet that is heavily plant-based. Almost positive I will, actually.

Not exactly chicken tenders, but I’m making a version of Alton Brown’s chicken parm tonight, and he uses a mixture of breadcrumbs and crushed up salt and vinegar potato chips. I’m intrigued.

Dammit, now I want fritos. Chili Cheese Fritos are my favorite travel snack. I can not have them in the house or I'll eat the entire bag. And not as a walking taco.

Now I know what to do with all the leftover frito bags that remain in the big assorted bag after Cadence eats all the cheetos and Doritos. Send them to mwhip or tgrimes! LOL

I assumed you would sit down, but just eat out of the bag? I get you’d really walk at the fair/carnaval, but at least at my home This would be a walking disaster 😂😂😂. Yes we will sit and eat them.. I'll set the boys bags in a bowl so they get the fun of it but dont burn their hands. Actually less work for me, I dont have to heat up all the shells. Or the house with the oven.
