guster do you have space for a small table in your entry? Yep, right now we have a chair and a table there. I might want a larger more hutch like piece so we can display up. I thought about a few floating shelves too. |

I drank too much last night. Need to make some breakfast, then I think I'll mow to sweat the alcohol out. Nothing planned today, just watching football at home.

Morning, mh and MIL just left to take the kids to the playground. I'm on the back deck with my book. I should probably go take a nap since I have a bad cold and didn't sleep well. I have lower back pain, which could be due to walking more than normal yesterday or early labor? We have finalized names, so that's a relief..
I hope to take j to a bday party this afternoon to see my mom friends from Pre-K, a popular magician is performing, so I kind of want to check him out too since j asked for him to do his party after seeing him at school.

Morning! We went to see my sister’s nursery & went to the zoo afterwards (both in Amsterdam). We’re all vegging out now, chicken tenders and fries for the kids on the menu, Turkish pizza for us... if only is was already bedtime 😉.

Hiiii. My 24 hours solo have been amazing. A good combination of relaxing and being productive so I don’t feel like a total slug. Dh and kids are about an hour away and I’m just lying on the bed after a shower.
I’m meeting a few girlfriends at the winery later. It’s a beautiful sunny day so I’m sure we’ll be on the patio and I’ll be really jealous of their wine.

Slow day here at work. I hope we get out at a decent time so I can relax with the girls tonight. Nothing too exciting.
The concert was fun last night. My only regret was getting garlic fries for dinner (they were just okay). I should have just gone straight to a smores funnel cake and had a true fair dinner. Next year...

Hi!
We got home at 2am and I didn’t get to sleep u til 3am. Our team won so that was good. My ILs are leaving in a couple hours and I have to get us ready for school and work this week. I really just want to laze around, but duty calls.

Both kids down for a nap. I finished 1 Los of dishes and the 2nd is the dish washer. I’m about 1/2 through laundry. I really should be cleaning the living room and dining room but instead I’m watching Casper. I was going to let LO watch it but I forgot how much cursing was in it. Don’t need him repeating that tomorrow.

We went to the animal shelter this morning to check out a dog that popped up on my Instagram. We got to visit a few others— a super chill great pyr mix that was so cute! But in talking with the shelter worker about what we are looking for in a dog she asked us to go and see this sweetheart Australian Shepard mix named Kitty (who looks nothing like anything but a brindle mutt) and this big goofy cuddle bug just stole our hearts.
I have no idea if we’re ready for it but it seriously started the conversation.

Aw! So exciting guster. I hope the right dog (possible Kitty) works out. We've got a couple Aussies in our neighborhood and I really like them. I adore a good ole mutt, too. |

Scott and the girls came up for lunch which was nice. I'm just idling waiting for when we can go. I'm longing for fluffy socks and leggings--it's that kind of fall day here.

We've been binging the great British baking show so A is now baking a cake.. I'm trying not to interfere but he's asked approximately 35 questions and I'm worried lol. One question was 'baking powder and baking soda are the same thing, right?' Not quite dear.

I'm hoping we still have some years but I have a dumb question since MH and I never had pets growing up and have never had a pet pass. If the pet passes away in the house, what do you do with it???

Your vet will usually come get it and send it to any cremation service you want to use. Or they have one they recommend. We always bury our animals on our farm. When my sil's horse died, we had it cremated though. He was ginormous and it was winter. We couldn't dig a big enough hole with the ground frozen. |

We’ve lost 3 dogs since MH and I have been married (16 years). We’ve buried them on the property. 1 is at our old house, which is actually park property (shhh). She is buried on the hillside overlooking the river, which was her favorite place ever. The other two are at our current house and buried along the woods line in front of our house with a memorial stone. |

We buried them. When my cat passed years ago, we took her to my brother's, he has a lot of acres, so we found a nice spot for her. Now, I'd probably figure out how to get the body to the vet for cremation. I hope you have lots of years left with him! |

wineallthetime, poor old guy. We have a pet graveyard at my parent's house. Markers and all. I've never lost a pet since moving out of my parents (my kitty boy is 15). I will probably bury on my property or take to the vet when the time comes.

My friends dog passed a few weeks ago and she had it cremated and got the ashes. She said she plans to keep them and request that she is buried with them. 🤨😳
Our last dog we took to the vet when she died at home, otherwise we have put them down and did not pay extra to get the ashes back individually. We have planted plants to remember them though.

Busy day. Mh was out so Cadence and I went to the mall to get a dress for picture day. We went to h&m, they didn't have the dress I had seen online, so Cadence picked one. It's rainbow, there are unicorns on the skirt. I'm hoping the unicorns won't be in the picture, but whatever.
We also went to build a bear and got her Monkey a Halloween costume and rose the mall train. Fun fun.
Then, we did the grocery run.
Now we're home, Cadence is chilling in her room and I'm doing laundry and watching Unbelievable. It's making me very angry. I think I've almost binged the entire series in 2 days.

@klongoria, the people in Marie’s life make me so angry. That poor girl had no one. I haven’t read the real story yet or listened to the interview, but I think this series is great and hopefully brings some things to light.

@winealthetime I would google pet crematoriums in your area or ask your vet how it works. When I worked at the clinic we obviously weren’t open 24 hours but the place we used had 24 hr on call service. It’s morbid to think about but good to have a plan in place if it eases your mind.

His cake turned out good. A little dry but he made a chocolate frosting and it was good too. The boys ate at my moms so we took it up there and we all ate dessert.
I need to rework the toy room tomorrow and put together a shelf I bought for in there. Also laundry, meal planning and grocery shopping.

I sold my bucket of paint for $25 less than I wanted to but at least it’s gone. We went to my sister’s house for supper, and my dad and step mom were there too. I got a cabinet from my BIL to put in my laundry room, I’m so excited to have the storage in there. Unfortunately it’s a cream/yellowy color so I’m going to have to repaint it white.
