I know this is a real long shot but is anyone using a carrier for one of their bigger kiddos? X is still wanting to be carried a lot and tires easily due to his hypotonia and DCD. But, he’s also huge (currently 38 pounds and wearing 5T clothes). I know @caishov had a Kinderpack for V as he got older. Anyone else have experience with that or a similar carrier? I have a Manduca that says is good for kids up to 44 lbs. www.manduca-baby-carrier.eu/If you want it it’s yours, let me know and I’ll send it right away. Yes, please! Thank you!!!!!

lfigI saw some removable anti-escape chest clips for $10 on Etsy that you could keep on your purse or diaper bag. I’m eyeing one for X man because we have the same problem with him being able to Houdini out of straps and not quite grasping safety precautions yet. Thanks for the stroller tip. He’s too big for the umbrella stroller to be comfortable. We do have a jogging stroller and a double jogging stroller, but I am thinking for something like Disney, I might need a stroller and a carrier. If he feels like it’s too bright, noisy, or crowded I will definitely hear “Mama carry?” 972 times.

We have a little money left over from the house project so we're going to take a vacation at the end of this month or early Oct. Trying to decide what to do. We could do a 5 day cruise, fly to Portland and hit up Willamette Valley, drive to Austin and hit up the wineries in Fredericksburg, go to Galveston and eat at all the fine dining places and do things there. Decisions, decisions. If we go to Willamette we'd have to stay in a cheap hotel to stay in the budget, which I'm fine with. I've never been on a cruise though. There are only a couple of things in Galveston that I've never done and I don't think MH is too keen on that option. Fredericksburg is about 4.5 hours away and we could stay in Austin a night or two. All great options! I loved Oregon but we did Portland and Cannon Beach...we need to go back and see Bend and the wineries.

I mean, I'm always up for either of you ladies hitting the PNW. tgrimes I grew up in the Willamette Valley. I never appreciated how beautiful is was until I moved away, saw some other parts of the country, and returned. It's really pretty. Bend is one of my favorite places. I love it. We spent our first anniversary there.

We are approx 20 minutes home and I am so ready to be there. It was a fun, but long day. The weather was great, warm but not too hot. There was basically no crowds so we were able to see everything way faster than any other time we went and had time to stop and really watch the animals. 100% would do again. We stopped at CFA midway home and the girls took FOREVER to eat, then we let them play for a bit before getting back on the road.

Not much new here.. j has a cold so had my MIL pick him up pretty soon after school and let him get some downtime. I had to shove.myself into pants for the first time in months bc it dropped 20 degrees, which was uncomfortable. Curious if I'll make it to Tuesday since mentally checked out of work. No plans besides a bday party on Sunday, so just getting stuff done around the house. We may go out to a movie tomorrow - j had wanted to see the goldfinch but sounds like it may not be so good? May do that Brittany runs a marathon if it's playing.

How many margaritas before I need to pump and dump? I always went by the rule that if I felt ok to drive I was ok to nurse My pedi is also a lactation consultant and she said that so little got in the breast milk that the bigger risk was dropping the baby from being drunk and not to really worry about it unless you are getting very drunk

Hi hi. Not sure where today went, but it slipped away. Ran some errands this morning and did some cleaning. Now we’re on our way home from dinner. Dh finally took my (very direct) hint to take me a on a date. So he lined up a sitter and we tried a new to us restaurant in the cities.
His cousin’s wedding is tomorrow, 3 hours away. I’m playing the pregnancy card and skipping it. 3 hours in the car sounds like torture. He’s taking the kids and staying in a hotel so I will have 24+ hours to myself and I can. Not. Wait. I’m going to finish cleaning the house in the morning so I can actually enjoy it without someone messing it up right away. Then i plan on painting my nails, watching Netflix, a hot bath, and ordering sushi for dinner.

Yesterday was a long dragging day at work. 11 hours straight without a break. Getting ready for more fun now.
We have tickets to Hall and Oates tonight. Hope I can get out at a decent time for it but not optimistic. It's supposed to rain again. 😒
