I’m in the process of starting some house projects. I’m mostly finished with the guest bath and now on the mud room area. This is the area. Excuse the hats/bags that Mh feels must be on display🙄. I’m doing this room now so I can remove that and we can have a space to put all of our everyday bags/etc. I painted it, but not sure if I love it yet. I kinda think maybe I should do the cabinets/bench or door a different color. If not, they will go the same color as the walls. I was thinking a blue like this? Thoughts?

Love, lahdeedah ! What a great space, I'm jealous. I think the white looks *fine* but you're right, it does blend a bit. I love the idea of a darker blue on the cabinetry b/c it would hid the inevitable dings and scuffs when the kids are sitting to put shoes on, etc. Check out Ben Moore Hale Navy and Van Deusen blue...those are both really pretty shades that remind me of that color in the photo.

I hate that my phone doesn't give me the option to make pictures smaller anymore.

I love that front door tgrimes! So pretty! lahdeedah I like the idea of painting it blue but I like a “dusty” blue better than a navy. Like BM Charlotte slate or evening dove

I’m really liking the new paint color! We still need to touch up the trim paint, and I need to sand and restain the front porch. I’m highly considering painting my front door a dusty rose or light coral color. I was originally going to do black but I’m not sure I want to do that anymore. I still want to get black shutters to put by that window. Here are a couple of inspo pics: I am also planning some interior painting but I’m waiting on that till the weather gets a little colder. In the meantime I’ve been patching lots of holes in my walls.

Ok so now I have to check out navy colors. Should I just do the cabinets or should I do the door, too?
I also have to find some hooks to add under the cabinets. I think I prefer something- like a wood peice- with hooks instead of feee standing hooks, but if I’m painting the cabinets, I may wait to decide. I’ve looked at home goods and target for something of the sort, but didn’t find anything I liked.

I need curtains in the dining room. We get roasted by the setting sun at dinner every single night. Details in my kitchen and eventually that light fixture are black. Cabinets are grey. White counters. I was thinking black and white horizontal stripes. To bold?

tgrimes , what all did you guys do? All new baseboards and doors throughout the house? Yes, and paint the whole house. They had to sand and re-texture a few rooms because they couldn't match the existing texture with the drywall patch ups from the re-pipe. I'm hoping they'll be done Saturday, but I'm assuming it will be Tuesday. It's been a long 2 months.

We need to finish the rooms in the story. I know it’s silly but I’m having a hard time with idea of the kids being on another floor in stead of across the hall, that’s why I kept putting it off. We’ve set a February deadline now. Assuming this is the last room I can do without the kids bugging me about what they want, I’m going all out .

Here is our guest bath I painted SW sea salt. All I need to do is get some artwork to put above the towel bar.

trtlcrzy did you ever try to take your paint back? I took an unopened can back to Lowe’s today and they gave me a full refund.

I need opinions. We are doing a small section of laminate where our bar will be in the basement. I am trying to decide if this is too light/gray. Next to the wall color and the carpet that abuts it. Next to the trim (ignore that paint color, that’s not the color downstairs)

trtlcrzy, love it next to the wall color and carpet but the trim color is throwing me I think.
