Hi, can I go here? Looking for somewhere more active than my BMBs but easier to keep up with than GD! I have 4 kids - DD1 just turned 5 and started K, DD2 is 3, DD3 is 19 months, and DS is a month old. My oldest two kids want to dress the family as Inside Out characters for Halloween but they keep disagreeing on who should be what!

DD starts preschool Monday. I can’t believe it’s already here! I’m excited for her.
She’s going to be a black cat for Halloween. I found the costume for really cheap at PBK last year after Halloween and snagged it. But she also has some other dress up items she could use instead if she decides the cat is a no-go.

DS’s birthday party is in a few hours. We only had 6 of 22 kids RSVP, so who knows how many we’ll actually have. I did the least this year, and I was feeling ok about that until last night when I had a Pinterest spiral. I’m just ready for it to be over.

Also congrats sheilathetank! I’m hopeful I won’t be too far behind you, but the ectopic threw us off a bit. The cute thing is DD has gone from a solid “no” when I ask her if she wants a baby brother or sister to “yes please!” (Although she has requested a baby sister named Gumdrop.)

I have everything crossed for you! Maybe gumdrop can be your inside baby name. DD has insisted that she wants a baby shark, octopus, or dinosaur. No amount of explaining that's not possible will convince her otherwise.

We actually had tons of cupcakes leftover, so we’re going to drop them off at the fire station after DS’s nap today. It was warm but the park shelter gave us tons of shade for bubbles and chalk. And his school besties showed up. He had a blast!

At first I read this as the people in charge of the park were giving you shit for using bubbles and chalk. I was trying to figure out if they were an environmental hazard or if you lived in an area that hated fun. I definitely need more coffee it seems. Lol.

We've been out and about this weekend doing things we normally would on a weekend and J did really well and I'm just like how do I have a kid wearing underwear?? It feels like such a huge milestone.

And he seems to be making some progress on his balance bike. It's hard because we just don't get to take it out much but he's looking less hopeless.

DD doesn't have much interest anymore. Apparently it's now a motorcycle and then we had to strap his little bear figurine to the front so he could give the bear a ride.

For Christmas last year my parents got DD a ride on, pink motorcycle. She's mostly scared of it. I think she'd like an imaginary one more. Yea, J would probably like in theory but would be scared of it too. He needs full control of his speed, or lack thereof.

Ds started pre-k today! But it’s a weird week. Today was orientation so I had to stay. Then half of the class comes Wednesday and the other half Friday. Then everyone starts next week. I haaaaate the drawn out schedule. My list of things I want to get done while he is in school keeps growing. I can almost taste the freedom.

Chilling at the pediatric ophthalmologist because they unexpectedly dilated dd’s eyes. This appointment was suppose to just be a quick check and discuss possible surgery but now he wants to check her prescription. Honestly, surgery would be cheaper than shelling out for another pair of lenses. Originally I was all anxious about surgery things but now I’m weeping for my bank account 😭 On the bright side, she didn’t fight the eye drops like a honey badger like she has in the past. Tagging my baby glasses buddy peaseblossom55 Update: she’s getting surgery. Relieved but anxious.

Lakes surgery?! I hope everything is ok. It’s a strabismus eye muscle surgery for her eye turn. I know it’s a common procedure but my anxiety is all it’s anesthesia and her eyeball.

I’m still waiting for the surgery coordinator to call back. But the doctor only does surgery on Fridays so I assume it will be sometime in October.

DS had a decent fall at school and hit his head. His teacher said he's acting normal, but I want to go get him and snuggle him.

I keep forgetting to check in here. Please forgive me. But its probably just as well. Between pregnancy, three kids, two jobs and getting ready to move in with in-laws so we can sell a house to be able to afford to build a house, I am not what you would call a pleasant person. TBH, I not normally that pleasant, anyways. Thank God the youngest still naps.

He had a camera case around his neck while sitting in his chair. Another kid wanted the case and pulled on it, tipping DS's chair backward. So he hit the back of his head and has a mark around the neck from the cord. The teacher cut the cord off the case after this. I know kids are assholes, but this upset me.

My mom picks him up on Tuesdays, so she went to get him as soon as he woke up from nap. She said he's a little whiny but claims nothing hurts. Hopefully tacos tonight will cheer him up. He never turns down a taco.
