Iām off today and tomorrow. Iām hoping to get the house in a little bit better shape. Itās a losing battle.
I did Whole30 last month and I started Keto yesterday. Iāve never done Keto so it should be interesting. It feels like cheating after whole30 though.
My first parent/teacher conference is tomorrow. Iām nervous hahaha.

I feel a lot better today. Mostly just tired. I ordered a grande drink and Starbucks and got a Venti so maybe that's a sign that it will be a good week.

kam3100, my H has done keto several times if you need any tips! make sure that you are getting plenty of water/electrolytes (throughout the whole thing but esp at the beginning to avoid that keto flu feeling)-- drink sugar-free gatorade or powerade or sprinkle a combo of salt and lite salt into your water.

I really want to feel like we're in the swing of the new school year, but DS was home "sick" (vaccine reaction fever) last week, his DCP was sick Friday, and DD is home sick today.
She's beating herself up about missing a day of K, but she really doesn't feel good/has a fever.

Excellent! Iām finding keto is much harder than whole30 because I have to track my food. I really hate tracking.

kam3100 I did keto for a while before I got pregnant and felt great on it after the initial adjustment period! Hope you have good results as well! L spent all day Sunday screaming his head off. Pretty sure his molars are getting close to coming in. His gums feel so swollen and he keeps pushing his thumb down in the back of his mouth. He was also super restless the last few nights. Hoping he sleeps better tonight!

DS had his first day of kindergarten yesterday. He was very excited and has several neighborhood friends as well as pre-k friends that are starting this year as well. We switched him to before care at his new school and today was a rough drop off. None of his friends were there yet and he got really upset because he didn't know anyone DD has been a little bit of a bear lately. She had a fever on Thursday last week so I had to go pick her up and she couldn't go back on Friday. She was crabby for most of the long weekend which made it tough for me to enjoy it. She's still a bit crabby and I think it's a combination of things and don't know how to make her happy.

C seems really moody lately too. At least he is still napping and sleeping well.

Z is also very moody. It takes forever for molars to come in. I remember J having a really hard time with them as well so I'm chalking it up to that.

I'm heading to my aunt's house to say my goodbyes. The hospice nurses came today and said it could be anywhere from a day or two to maybe a week. I have about 15 minutes to decide if I want to bring the girls with me. I'm not sure how DD1 will handle it. š¢

I don't remember moody being a thing for DD at this age, but she was such an awful tiny baby that once she finally got out of it, I think we thought anything was great.
Charlie is moody too and has been for a while. Like, he's a happy kid and everyone always says at much, but he's tough too. Usually it manifests itself in clingy whinniness over nothing in particular. And boy can he throw a fit. I die laughing when he is standing and puts his head down on his arm or his head in his hands. It would be so pitiful if he wasn't losing it over nothing. Drama llama over here.

I didn't go this afternoon. H was coming home from work early, but my mom called and said that my aunt was pretty tired and was going to bed. So I am going to go after work tomorrow

My husband left for Japan first thing Sunday morning and I have been moving non-stop since then. I felt the most prepared for this trip and even had an extra day off with the kids where I could get stuff done around the house. But I can't seem to juggle all their needs - keeping them fed, entertained, bathed, their clothes clean, etc. I even checked out books on dvd from the library and had a video do story time last night while I took care of dinner dishes.
On top of it, DS2 is sick with something. His throat hurts but no fever (yet). He rested most of the day at daycare yesterday and I had to wake him at 7:30 this morning. He's usually up no later than 6:30. Thankfully, we have an awesome daycare provider and she has no problem taking him and letting him be lazy at her house.
And 10 minutes before the bus was coming to pick DS1 up from daycare, I remembered it was show and tell day (don't get me started on teachers sending out these notices only one day in advance). So I called the daycare provider and asked her to help him find something to take.
It takes a village.

I have a rebound headache this morning from all of the tylenol and ibuprofen I had to take for the strep. The only way to stop the cycle is to stop the otc meds so that's fun. J has his dentist appointment this afternoon for his crown placement. I'm irrationally sad over this. We're doing everything we can for his teeth and he's still going to end up with a mouth full of silver. Z has been fussy enough that I keep wondering if I should take him back in since he's coming off of an ear infections, but he doesn't have any other symptoms so I think he's just moody.

This morning I noticed some petechiae on C's hand and arm. I had seem him sleeping with his head on that arm on the monitor earlier. Does that seem like something that might cause it, the pressure from his head? I'm wondering if I need to take him in for some bloodwork.

I went to see my aunt after work today. She looked really good. A little confused / forgot some of her words, but it was a good visit! Depending on how she is this weekend, I think I might take the girls to see her.

They were really spread out. Like a few on the back of his hand, some going up the wrist and lower forearm and some on the back of the upper forearm. I'm going to watch it. If they keep happening or pop up anywhere else I'll take him in. He has been sleeping more over the last month and more crying, especially in between getting home and bedtime. But I know those things could be unrelated.

My heel slipped off the edge and somehow I ended up with my leg bent under me so that's what's messed up. It hurts, but it could have been worse.
