I want to do this and be held accountable. The thing is. We’ve been working really hard to eat more as a family, in stead of mealtime for the kids (we’re all at the table) & then dinner for us after the kids go to bed. The problem is within the limited range ds eats, these are often weightwise not the best choices for me, but I really do not want to eat a different meal because I don’t want any emphasis on or talk about food being better/not good/not tasty etc.

nam2013, most meals we eat are different than what Cadence will eat. She's been narrowing her acceptable food list down quite a bit lately. We don't really talk about the food itself, though. When we are at the table we talk about our days and other random things. I want zero emphasis on food right now because she is being so picky, so I just let her eat what she picks from the options I give her. Girl has been eating more mac and cheese than I would like to admit, though.

Are there meals he likes that you can make a healthier alternative? Like for instance last night I made tacos but had mine in a lettuce wrap instead of a taco shell. Or I'll substitute zucchini noodles for regular for myself.

wineallthetime I do that, but they see and I’ll have to explain why mine is different. I’ve been saying, ‘oh you don’t like the taste of that’ but that is not good either. Maybe I’m just over-thinking this way to much. Ugh.

Then it's more of a choice for them and doesn't make either option "bad"?

I don’t often eat what the kids are having, and if Dude asks me I just tell him I wanted to eat a little more vegetables, beans, etc. (whatever I am having they’re not) because that’s what makes my body feel good.
He has been talking about healthy and unhealthy, and we try to steer away from that simply saying the item in question is not an everyday food.

We have a slow afternoon at work. If I have a good enough gap, I may walk over to our healthplex for a quick 20 minute workout. Probably do stair stepper and some arm/back exercises.

I’m proud of myself. Got up early and got the first 4 days off BBM done. Only drank water for my drinks, didn’t have dessert or alcohol. I’m down 3.5 pounds for the week. Obviously, that won’t continue but I feel good.

The temps in the morning have dropped and running has become far easier. Well, far easier from a motivational standpoint. I still need to keep at the hill work. But at least I finally feel like I'm back in the right direction.

I don’t think my butt and legs have ever hurt as much as they do today. I don’t know if I will make it up the stairs at work tomorrow, definitely need to throw some Advil in my bag.

I went to our gym at work and did 10 min incline power walk. Best I could do today. 🤷🏽♀️
I’ll be at the gym right after drop off tomorrow.

Day 2 workout, power moves, and abs done. Keep me posted on how you like that challenge. I did day 10 of 8.0. I have never been so sore and I’m down 4 pounds so I’m going to stick it out.

Trying to work out more and have been calorie counting the last 3 weeks. Down 8lb, so going to keep going with it. I've been a bit more (ok, a lot more) lax on the weekends so going to reign that in this weekend while still enjoying some splurges. Hoping to hit 10lb down next Friday.

Not sure my goal of 10lb by tomorrow is going to happen, bummer. I weighed myself and am down 9.2. I'm getting a major trim (about 5in) hair cut today, so maybe that'll count for a couple ounces? lol.

Does anyone want to share an example of their daily meals? Just curious what everyone is eating/looking for ideas! I'll share mine from yesterday, not my best day but stayed in calories...
6am: protein shake (just protein powder and almond milk) 8am: oatmeal 10am: 1oz cheese, 10 wheat thins 12: 3oz chicken breast, 2oz homemade sweet potato fries 2pm: apple and mini twix bar 5pm: a hardboiled egg and a couple pringles 6pm: egg white, cheese and jam toasted sandwich 8pm: 25 goldfish grahams and tea

I don't count calories, although I should. My typical day (when I talk myself into the gym and not eating out at lunch):
8:30ish protein shake with almond milk 10:30 cottage cheese or 2 hard boiled eggs Lunch: 6 ozs of lean protein (chicken or turkey) with 2 cups of veggies (broccoli or salad) 2:30ish greek yogurt Dinner: Usually some kind of protein on the grill or IP with veggies. I try to skip the carbs or at least eat a limited amount. Or sub riced cauli for rice
It's boring, and hard. But I know it helps me lose weight and feel so much better.

I've been trying to limit my carbs and increase veggies as well (though yesterday I kind of failed at that one!). Do you follow this diet on the weekends as well?

I try to one day of the weekend, then allow myself a cheat day. I feel so much better when I don't eat carbs. The bloat they cause and just all around crappy feeling, helps me keep them to a minimum. Not saying I don't have a pancake or sandwich occasionally, but I know I can't live the rest of my life without them.

I’m down 6 pounds and look slightly less 4 months pregnant than I did a few weeks ago.
On work days I have been eating like this
6:30am 2 scrambled eggs or oatmeal
9:30am Greek Yogurt and an apple or pear
11 am (unfortunately my work lunch and last break of trig workday) salad mix with some cheese and ham or turkey and a 2 oz bag of trailmix
Somewhere between 5 and 7 is dinner. I have been trying to cook early. I have whatever I’m making everyone else but I try to sub salad or an extra veggie for things like pasta and potatoes.
I try not to eat after dinner but if it was early, sometimes in starving so I will have apple slices with peanut butter or berries with a squirt of whipped cream.
I also cut out all beverages besides water.

Well, I ducked and didn't reach my goal, no where near it. I'm half way there and won't get another 50 miles in the next 3 days. Oh well, I'll try again in October.
ETA: ducked = sucked, but I'm leaving it.

I'm down 14.5lb. I was nervous for my weigh in today since I didn't do great yesterday and had wine, but was down 3 from last week! Slowly chipping away at those unwanted pounds!
