We have a big 4th of July party every year - it's tomorrow. DH always makes a ton of food- he's smoking ribs and grilling barbecued chicken wings, brats, and hot dogs. It's a lot of fun! We have all of our friends and family over- family usually leaves shortly after sundown and then it turns into a bit of a boozy party with our friends. I'll miss drinking vodka lemonades by the fire, but I guess I'll have more room for s'mores! And I'll be glad to not be hungover since we're listing our house on Sunday 😬.
On the 4th we go to a pancake breakfast every year and it's seriously so delicious- I can't wait to stuff myself with blueberry pancakes and sausages. Then we'll spend the day at the lake and go to our city's fireworks show at night.

We have a small family reunion on Saturday which will include swimming! Hoping for a very tired toddler after As for the fourth, we do a mini-parade in the morning with a bunch of friends and their kiddos. Then the large parade which I love, I know there are parade haters out there haha. After nap we will do a festival and we plan on letting DS stay up this year to watch fireworks. I love the Fourth of July so hopefully we have good weather!!!

I'm bumming a little bit because I usually run a 5k on the night of the 3rd and a 5 miler the morning of the 4th, but I'm not running anymore at this point. It's ok, though. Little girl is worth it. The only plans we have are for a cookout we're going to on Tuesday.

Tomorrow is Canada Day up here, so BBQ at a friend's place, then heading downtown to hear the Arkells and watch some fireworks. I'm trying to think of a place to go that won't be insanely crowded!

We are doing a small GTG on Tuesday with some close friends at our house. The backyard will be done so I will set up the kiddie pool for DD and their DS. We will just grill and hang out. Probably just hot dogs, burgers, fruit salad, and my friend said she would make an ice cream cake. Oh and we can do smores now!
I am actually on call that day but since I am working Monday and Wednesday, chances are I will not have to go in. FX.

We are at my in laws for a couple days. They live at the beach so we are going to hit up the beach tomorrow and maybe the local zoo. It's free and awesome. On the actual 4th, we are gonna be home so probably just relaxing/recovering from our travels.

Canada Day this weekend so BBQ at my parents and lighting fireworks in the backyard. Because we're hicks. DH and I are ordering East Side Mario's tonight because I don't want to cook and/or prepare food and he doesn't want to do dishes. Both kids are exhausted so I'm hoping they'll go to bed early.

I'm working this weekend, but on the 4th the kids and I will be in OH with my family. The plan is to go to my brother's GF's family's house for a cookout in the afternoon and track down some fireworks in the evening. There's a good chance they will be somewhere overlooking Lake Erie. I'm told there will be an inflatable waterslide for the kids at the cookout, so I'm hoping that will handle most of my parenting for the day.

I want to do some yard work and fix up some plants. I did it last week and things already look better. I am getting a freezer tomorrow so buying things for it! I am so excited to have more freezer space. Play with the kids. Monday is start of chemo week. Boo. We are alternating days. I would rather do one week every two months but H prefers this. On the fourth, H is taking J in for chemo, while I take D to a party. Then, we are going to another friends house in the afternoon.

Also Canadian/celebrating Canada Day tomorrow. I live in the capital, it's our 150th, we are expecting millions of people in the city - so I am leaving. Couldn't pay me enough to be here tomorrow. We're going to spend the day at my parents' place in the country where I don't have to have anxiety about a potential attack all day, because apparently that's a thing I'm worried about. I can't stop thinking about it.
Deep down, I'm confident nothing will happen. I'm still going to enjoy the quiet countryside tomorrow.

Canadian here too. 🇨🇦🇨🇦 Going to the local museum for a day of festivities. Maybe see if we can catch some fireworks if the littlest co-operate. Then heading off to my parents cabin for the rest of the weekend (or whenever I feel like coming home! Yay summer holidays!)

Not sure. Our town is doing it's fireworks Monday night, so we'll watch those. Tuesday my dad got us all tickets to the local minor league baseball game because his work is hosting the fireworks at the end. Right now we don't have any other plans, so we'll likely do that.

I'm at work and a guest asked me what was going on in our town for the 4th. Since I'm not going to be here, I haven't looked into and told her as much. She seemed really annoyed that I wasn't the fountain of information she hoped I would be. This isn't the first time this has happened. Just because I work downtown, doesn't mean I know everything that is happening! Try the internet!
