I think I know why DS was so crabby yesterday. So. Much. Poop. Now if only he'd do it in the toilet.
SIL's wedding is tonight! DH just left to get a haircut and DS just asked me "where Daddy's car go?" I'm just hoping the weather isn't too hot and miserable later because we'll be driving an hour each way with no AC in DH's car.

@lettgewookieewin Hope you have a fun time at the wedding tonight!
Our Friday was really good. I got a call from my MFM stating that since I made it to 24 weeks, we are going to try modified bedrest for a week and see how it goes. Wohoo! That meant I could take DS to the outdoor play area in our building for a bit this afternoon. It was so nice to be outside and watch him play - I haven't been able to do that in over 3 months!
DS seemed to enjoy it too - he kept calling for me to watch everything he was doing (going down the slide, climbing up the jungle gym steps, etc.). Then he would give me the biggest smile while showing me his big boy playground skills. 😀😍

Taitai - Congratulations! That's fantastic news. I'm picking up my girlfriend from the airport the morning and then we're roadtripping to meet our other friends for a girls weekend. I'm so excited to be kid-free for a couple of days!

Taitai, enjoy your time outside! Fx you can do modified bedrest for the rest of your pregnancy. AFM, last night K did the cutest thing. We were hanging out outside before bed and she starts saying "up aba woso hai" over and over. It takes me a second but i realize she's singing "up above the world so high" from twinkle twinkle little star. I may have actually died from cuteness. I'm so happy I was able to get it on video.

It didn't end well, poor guy has quite the bruise and insert mom guilt for not catching him 😞

letthewookieewin, have a great time at the wedding! Taitai, yay for getting up and out! It's heartwarming to see our babies act so big. I like to stare at L in his DC class just interacting with his buddies. billyhorrible, I hate you. No, not really...just really really jealous. Hope you have a fun-filled girls weekend. sheilathetank, that is so adorable. teraiin, poor kiddo. All's well though, can't catch 'em always. Plus, this morning, I set down the car seat on L's hand I usually say watch your hands, fingers...but not this morning. Ooops. He's fine.

I've decided that I should be productive this long weekend and get my house in order. My MIL is coming to visit this summer (from Mexico). I need to set up a room for her in my tiny, toy ravaged house.
I also have a "wedding" tomorrow. It's an anniversary party but the couple I think are renewing their vows. I can't decide it I should go dressy dressy or just nice. Dh and the boys are wearing white polos. And the venue is a recreation center of a church...maybe the gym area.

Museum pass is currently checked out but is due back tomorrow. I'm going to call tomorrow before we leave for the wedding and hope that they brought it back. If not, admission is only $15 so it's not like I'm losing a ton of money. It would just have been nice to see Lynx KITTENS for free. I am unbelievably excited to see baby lynx kittens. I may squee myself to death. If you see on the news some BSC woman tried to steal lynx kittens, it's probably me.

I can't decide if this is embarrassing or not but I'm so grateful for the TaylorSwift Katy Perry fued bc now all Taylor swift's music is back on Spotify and it's a lifestyle upgrade. Lol. I don't care about either of them on a personal level but god do I love 1989.

Day one of Dh's three day stretch. So far so good. Hour two of naps for the littles. Trying to play blocks with the big but she keeps stealing my pieces while laughing at me. I also keep forgetting where I've posted what. Too many damn boards. Or maybe I just need more coffee.

My mom is nearing her move-in date up here, and recently sent a few boxes of my things with my sister for me to sort through. Inside a stack of old piano and flute music was my sophomore year genealogy project I did for world history. I remember doing the project, and all the interviews I did with my mom and dad, and getting copies of birth certs and all the records mom had, but I forgot HOW MUCH information is really there. I cried looking through it. E will have so much information about her family that she never got to meet, that I never got to meet. I had forgotten that my dad had gotten his GED and that my grandmother stopped high school after the 11th grade because she didn't have any clothes to wear. It's all such important stuff. I can't believe my mom kept it all these years. I mean, really, she kept it for TWENTY years.
Otherwise, E is obsessed with sidewalk chalk and calls it her "colors." She enjoyed my summer band concert and twirled and clapped and was just living her very best life. Tomorrow we go to see our friend who just had her baby and I'm so ready to soak up squishy baby squishes.

We used to listen to plenty of stories but never documented. Now that my mom is gone and her parents are gone, it's hard to know even the simplest of their details.

I got out early from work and picked up K early from DC and we went to the park. She befriended another toddler there which was cute. When we were leaving he ran up and gave her a hug, ran back to his dad, and then ran and gave her another hug. It was super cute! Then he promptly picked up a handful of woodchips and put them in K's hair. The dad was horrified and kept apologizing. I laughed it off and said "gotta love toddlers".
When we got back to the car, someone had fucking left a dirty diaper, and a pile of used wipes, in the middle of a parking space, like 3 yards from the trash can. Who the fuck does that?? I thankfully had some napkins in my car so I used them to pick it up and throw it away. I was so pissed though. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!!

I hate tapa right now because I'm so behind in all of the places. I went to the gym today, met my mom for lunch and then took the kids to a friend's house for a play date. I'm really looking forward to H having 4 days off.

littlelion, it really is so cool. One of the bios of a great-great aunt or great grandmother or someone talked about how she plucked the feathers for her own goose mattresses. And that her arms were scarred from being pecked up. And she raised several children with no help! This was back in the early 1900s. Just nuts how much info I got out of my mom. I did my Ancestry thing a couple years ago when I found out I was pregnant. It suddenly felt very urgent that I have all this info, as my mom is in her 70s and dad has passed. I can't believe I didn't think Mom would still have this assignment. I'm sorry your parents are gone

sheilathetank Like was for the toddler cuteness. I would have been furious about that garbage too. I hate it when people can't clean up after themselves. Who are these people? Were they raised by animals? Seriously - they know it's wrong - WHY DO PEOPLE LITTER?!?!? fuzzylogic I think it's awesome you have all that history documented! I am sure your children will treasure it too. Edit - posted too soon
