hi all. lurker with a question hope that is ok. dd is almost 18 months and up until sunday was nursing 5-6x/day, asking for it sometimes more. since then it has been 1-3x once in middle of the night and then usually after nap and maybe bedtime and the asking has stopped. when i put her into position when we usually nurse half the time she arches back and tries to pull my shirt down. other times she’ll start then stop after about 5 seconds and shake her head no. she is teething and does have a slight cold at the moment, but i’m not sure if this is how weaning goes or if this is a strike. any advice/ anecdote is greatly appreciated. tia!

i don't think this is weaning... i'm guessing it's either pain from teething or she has an ear infection. i would obviously get her checked at the dr if you think it could be the latter. have you tried other positions, like side-lying? you could also try giving advil or ice chips/popsicles.
