We went to the pool today which was nice but there were several kids in the baby pool woth parents who never even looked at them. I caught a 15 month old who tried getting in the pool on his own.

Sorry I've been MIA, it's been a crazy week and a half.
The twins turned 2 last Thursday. We had a nice celebration at home. That was also my first day at my new job.
Friday evening we had their birthday party with family and friends. It turned out great and everyone had a blast!
This is my first week at work and I start teaching in 2 weeks. Thankfully it's quiet as most people are on vacation.
The twins started EI services on Saturday - D will be getting 20 hrs now that his ASD diagnosis has been confirmed and E will get 5 hours.
All 3 kids had doc appointments on Monday, we have a wedding to go to on Thursday, and DS1 has gardening camp on T, Th, and Fr. This is what our new routine will look like.

How is it mid August? This happens every year. I take on extra work at the college and never get a break.
We are having J evaluated foe speech Aug 27. He is talking more now but I just need to know...

Holy cow that sound like a crazy schedule. Glad the parties went well. I hope the EI services really help the twins!

Sorry I've been MIA, toddler H's 2 yr appt is Aug 29 and I will be asking about speech evaluation as well. He's getting about a new word a week now, but still no word combinations. Can't believe he turns two this week.
I had to read back to catch up. So impressed some of you are potty training!! We are not there at all, although I sorted through all our baby clothes and toddler H got all excited when he saw his brother's old Thomas briefs and insisted on wearing four of them at once over his diaper!
We got rid of the highchair and put him in a not buckled booster seat at the table, but he would only sit for 30 seconds before squirming away, so now it's back to the highchair. Now he dumps his water cup into his food at the beginning of each meal. Oh well.
He has mastered climbing out of the crib in his sleep sack, but we are sticking with the crib until baby girl comes and moves into the nursery.
