I left the house shortly before 1 to let mh handle the playdate. I've been to 2 Targets (neither of which had size 13 shoes for Cadence), a bookstore, and now I've been at Starbucks reading my new book. The playdate is still going on. Glad I ditched!

I'm sorry klong11. C is lucky to have such a thoughtful Mom - I've seen the more sudden cut-and-run and it's a nightmare with kids involved. Hope she's on the mend inthekitty. |

I had a lot of fun on my work trip today. The boys were pretty well behaved, DH spent lunch chatting with another husband, and I got some time with a couple girls from the office who I like but don't talk to much. But oh my goodness, too much food!!

We had a nice evening. Dh, C, and I all did an evening swim and C was so happy and declared it Family Swim Time. It was nice to have that time with just the three of us. And usually food at my in laws is bad but DHs aunt and uncle are here and they cooked and it was so good.
I heard my MIL was telling her sister how crazy overprotective SIL is. It was good to hear because I thought my in laws were on the same level with SIL and I often feel like a rebel or a bad kid for letting C do things they find unsafe. DHs aunt complimented me a lot on the way I handle C. It was nice. She was drunk too and she always tells the truth when she is so I know it was genuine. She was also very impressed with Cs independence and his skill with sports. It’s nice sometimes just having outside validation and also I love when people compliment my kid.
Speaking of sports, our towns Little League is going to the Little League World Series. It’s so cool that C is in the same league and thinking if he continues that he could do this someday.

We have my niece for a sleepover and I planned on the big kids all sleeping on a giant makeshift bed in the family room while I slept on the couch. Well, L has been asleep in her room since 5:30 (pray for me) and the other two are fast asleep on the couch, so guess who's in the floor bed...

We went swimming at the neighbors this morning but the water was very cool so we didnt last long. But I'll be going Tuesday with all the kids so I wanted A to see MJs first time in the pool. She passed out immediately lol. A handled lunch while I put her down and I fell asleep and we both slept 3 hours.. the boys napped too then we went to dinner at a new Mexican restaurant. Very good food.
We have A's huge extended family reunion tomorrow. The kids will have a blast, they have a giant blow up water slide coming. I'm just hoping I can avoid the cousins I hate.....

He said I'm ruining his vacation still, so I keep reminding him he may not get to come next time I'd he keeps being so rude. I was planning to leave at naptime, but may need to depart earlier if needed. Oh and he told my cousins husband that his nose is gigantic and didn't understand that it wasn't particularly nice🤦 we all had a good laugh later though, it is a true statement. |

E was a mess today after hearing about his pet fish. Then we went to a little water park and all 3 of us had a blast. Then he complained of an upset stomach on the way home. He did not puke in the new car but does have a pretty high fever. I think he may have had it all day but we didn't notice.

Thanks for the well wishes for Cass. Finally at the end of the day she seemed to come out of it. I'm happy because she was miserable. Now I'm praying no one else gets it.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to explore.

The party yesterday was fun. M fell on the sidewalk and scraped her knee before we walked in so she was in tears for the first 30 min. H had a blast in their water slide though. All of the moms get along and it seemed like the dads did, too.
Today is laundry, meal prep and then heading to the in laws. They’re finally back from another vacation. The kids will be super excited to see them.

We’re at the Waldorf preschool Airbnb, I’m going to die, it is perfect! The kids are loving it  . What is a Waldorf preschool Airbnb? Is this in Boston? Of course the week you are here is the week I am going to Florida for work. No we’re in costal Maine. It’s a Waldorf preschool that they rent out during the summer. It is amazing, it has al the things the kids know from home, an amazing outdoor area to play in and it is as cute as a button!  |

Good morning! It’s our seventh anniversary today. We are super romantic and exchanged gifts of hot sauces from the show hot ones for MH and a Revlon blow drying brush that I used and loved while on vacation.
I didn’t get my act together to meet with the sitter that my friend passed on to me, so the kids are coming out to dinner with us. I’m ridiculously excited about the food! I just hope everyone behaves.
