Am I the only one who isn't emotional about school? Maybe that'll change once he actually goes but right now I'm pretty whatever about it. I’m emotional about me going back but mostly because I enjoyed being lazy for 2 years. As far as T going, I feel like it’s about dam time, since my first 2 were summer babies, they turned 5 and went to K. T’s been 5 forever so he should go. I told DH after T’s fight at safety town, I’m blocking the principal’s number from my phone so if he gets in trouble, they can call him.

I had the electricians come look at the fire alarm. They texted when I was working out that they would come in 40 minutes so I finished my workout and got in the shower. Of course they were early so I was in the shower, the dog was barking, the baby was crying, and the others were screaming that someone was at the door. Also, the only clothes I had in the bathroom were the sweaty workout ones so I ran to my room and threw on shorts and a sweatshirt to let them in. They took their time and called the manufacturer and took down all 10 alarms but couldn’t find anything.
Later I have the eye doctor and my sister is watching the kids then we are staying for dinner at her house. My eye doctor of 30 years worked at Sears and the store is closing and their phone has been disconnected. I’m on my last pair of contacts so no time to wait to find him so I’m trying the lady out of Target. I may wander Target all alone for a little while afterwards.

Am I the only one who isn't emotional about school? Maybe that'll change once he actually goes but right now I'm pretty whatever about it. This is me. I think it’s maybe because he has already been to a traditional school for the past two years. I did have a twinge of- awww he’s really a big boy now- but beyond that, I’m just excited to not have to shell out hundreds of dollars a month. I don’t judge or take away anything from the parents that are emotional about it, though. Everyone is entitled to their own feelings.

I had said no trips before school but my mom asked to take the boys to see the kangaroos again. I'm like uh can I go? Lol so we're going next weekend.

I’m all done. Sounds like everything went well. My right incision hurts and I’m nauseous but otherwise good. I’m ready to go home soon and take a nap.

I'm mixed on K. I'm more than ready to enjoy the ease of having them at the same school with the same schedule. I'm not the crying with other moms over breakfast type. It's just not for me, but I can understand that need. I've been going through some crazy hormonal fun times lately with simultaneously freaking out when my period is late, but then being sad when it comes. I am happy to embrace easier parenting days and sleeping through the night. But part of me is mournful for the snuggly, cuddly days. It's bittersweet to never have any more itty bitty babies, but at the same time it's nice to be able to sign up the whole fam for a ziplining adventure in CA and not have to be the mom on the sidelines watching the fun with a baby.

I'm not necessarily going to be crying, but I will be attending the breakfast. Mh will definitely cry. High likelihood I will be wearing sunglasses JIC. We don't have a breakfast or anything I know of though. I seriously will cry his last day at preschool though. I saw a meme or quote floating around about not being sad for things being over, but focusing on the fun new things and don't let the sadness overshadow the new stuff, it was a good reminder for me.

We had an interesting night. There were massive thunderstorms and I wasn’t comfortable staying in the tent, so we grabbed the kids out of their beds and ran trough the pooring rain to get to the car. I love camping, this part however? Not so much... luckily the weather should be better tomorrow, because I know Acadia is beautiful, we just can’t see it now trough the fog😕.

And now FIL is backing out of picking Cadence up for dance. He says he doesn't want to drive in traffic. He literally lives 5 minutes away. There is no fucking traffic. What upsets me most is I know if it was for one of his daughter's SONS he would be more than willing. He made it to every single one of their sports games and practices. I fucking hate this shit.

Ugh. klong11 I’m sorry. Is there any way your husband can convince him to do a trial run so he can see it won’t be that bad? And it’s just one day a week. Hope he changes his mind so you won’t have to change your work schedule.

Busy day here. We went to the zoo. Josie had an absolute blast, and for Charlie it was just a very expensive walk in nature. The tigers were literally inches from us and he couldn’t care any less! They did like the carousel, the playground, and of course, the snacks. We drove through your town on the way back joelies, and stopped at one of the grocery stores. I did seriously kind of look at a handful of women from far away wondering (hoping) if maybe you were making a mid afternoon run to pick up something. Got home just in time to spend 15 minutes freshening up before we had to leave for taekwondo, pulled together a dinner of fruit, cheese, and tortilla chips, and now finally I’m in bed watching Hot Ones.

I'm going cry. 2 weeks ago I didn't think I would but after our farewell with SD I can feel the tears in my eyes. Mostly I'm proud of who my kids are and I'm scared to see how this year will change them. E has been wearing glittery cat ear headbands to school this week. I hope he has the same confidence in a month. He's a bit like me that way, do what you want and don't care about the peanut gallery

I finally got my car and I love it. E immediately ran to the neighbors and started playing with the kids. Everyone was outside tonight even though it wasn't particularly cool. It's like everyone knows summer is ending. Then we arranged the garage so I can park inside Also I think E wants to go to school tomorrow for the last day even though he may go next week. So MH and I may get a day together

I can’t remember what my last update was. I got to leave the hospital at 5 and basically just slept until 7:30. I ate some food and took more pain meds. Oh, and I had DH get out my heating pad and that feels nice. I’m not feeling too terrible, just sore at the right incision site. I got pictures of my insides from my surgery. Very interesting.

And it has some good pickup for my lead foot
