What’s going on ladies?

E didn’t sleep as well as she had the past few nights but it was still pretty good. I have a few meetings today but otherwise a normal day.

I'm so tired.

Our friends dog was captured and reunited last night. Apparently my friend told the dog sitter not to take the dogs to the dog park, he did anyway, but he took 5 dogs by himself. It's amazed only 1 got lost. The dog was lost Friday evening, my friend found out Saturday morning via FB on a lost and found pet page, her dog sitter didn't even let her know Friday. I don't think we would be friends with him anymore.

I trimmed Addie's nails last night and cut 2 way too short, one is still bleeding this morning. I feel so bad. I've washed 2 blankets and sprayed the carpet with cold water, trying to get all the spots up. Such a mess.

The Evie came into our bed around 11 last night, so I slept like shit. I think I woke up every hour and stayed awake for too long because I was claustraphobic and hot.

I did already set my out of office assistant to start today at 4. It's the only thing getting me through the day, knowing we leave for vaca tomorrow!

Ever since we got the house re-piped at the beginning of July, my house has been a dusty disaster. They've patched the drywall, re-textured M's room & the hall bathroom, and today they should finish replacing all of the interior doors. We had an issue with the doors because at some point one of the previous owners took some short cuts so the frames were all messed up. Which means that most of the doors have 1 inch around the trim where the drywall needed to be redone and the baseboards don't meet the trim now. So I think we'll have to replace all of the baseboards because they don't make that kind anymore.

I'm really tired of coming home everyday and trying to dust everything, sweep and mop. I know it will be worth it in the end, but it kind of blows at the moment.

My fire alarm did that thing it does where is goes off in the middle of the night just to terrorize me. It happened around 2:30 and of course I couldn’t get back to sleep until almost 5 because I then lay in bed and plan how to get all the kids and dog out the fastest in different scenarios, both when DH is and isn’t home with me. Again DD was the only kid who woke up which also terrifies me.

I have also gained all the weight this summer and I need to get on that. I was going to say screw it, wait until I get back to work and have a routine again but I’m up almost 13 pounds so there will be no more waiting.

Today is my Dad's birthday. Cadence and I will go out to eat to celebrate, but I'm feeling some guilt over not being down in the valley. I've gone the past 2 years and Cadence and I would take cupcakes to his grave. I just couldn't make it work this year and I feel bad.

I did.  It stops it for a bit, but she must be stepping on something outside, that's when it always starts bleeding again.

I love how much you honor his memory with C.  She will have some amazing memories.

Yesterday was MH's first day of instructor training. He basically had to do classes for 4 hours straight. Oof. When he was undressing to shower after we got home I noticed a mark on his torso and we realized it was where the instructor punched him during class during a demo. He punched him so hard it left a perfect outline of his fist and imprint of each of his fingers. Lolz. He's really dogging him out. MH is going to have a sharp learning curve.

I’m sorry today is so difficult, @klongoria. Your dad is always with you and by sharing so much of him with C you keep his spirit alive.

Not much going on here. Same old with work being insane and everyone on our little team feeling completely worn out about it since our supervisor is completely disengaged and has no clue what we're doing or what our workload.

I'm trying to be open-minded about the new TKD instructor. He's a stickler for precise form and I'm not that coordinated and want to do it correctly, but frankly don't care that much. I just want a good workout and to kick some shit.

A friend at daycare is having a party this weekend for the kids that are going to the same elementary school this month. The elementary school is named Parker so they're having a P-party. Serving pizza, pineapple, pears, peaches, punch and prosecco. I think we'll bring banana pudding.

I'm currently researching cocktails with pear. I'm a really good employee.

At the park. I grabbed fast food and we had lunch here and icees. Mow the boys are playing, MJ is sleeping and I'm in a beach lounging chair they just added. Much better than the benches.

Busy morning, mh got the kids to school and commented on how long the drive is. Tell me something I do not know🙄. Granted it felt super quick for me after rush hour sans kids.

Heading to a meeting with N's new teacher at 4 about the new class and transitions. J was in the same one, but I need to get to know the new assistant teacher better bc he appears to not talk, ever.

Hey. We wrapped up the first coat of paint this morning and I’m really liking it! DH has already started on the second coat, and we have discovered that we really overbought the paint. We are 3/4 through the first 5 gallon bucket...and we bought 3. I doubt SW will take back the tinted paint, which is a huge bummer. Now I’m searching out inexpensive shutters, but I can’t decide which style I like best.

This is so cute.  There are 4 other kids going to S elementary school next year, maybe I should steal that idea.  Although his school is not so creatively named School One.  So... 1 of everything? Not sure how I would theme that party...

I'm on the school mom's facebook page and one of the moms posted about a pre Kindergarten meetup play date and took a poll to see when would work.  I think it's going to be next weekend and I am weirdly nervous about meeting all the families!

That was dh’s idea...but for less than half of what we paid for it. I was not down with that idea, but I would be ok selling it for closer to what we paid.

I’m good now with Josie’s friends moms and dads but now this is a whole new set.

I love most of the parents from S Day Care class, and we've actually become good friends with a handful of them.  There's very few repeats in B's class and I haven't really loved anyone I've met so far.  I'm not looking forward to the birthday party circuit with that class.
