Anyone else have a toothless baby still? Even my late to get teeth DS1 had 2 by now.
I got my teeth really late as a kid too so it must be genetic.

My mom says I was a really late teether too, yet my daughter had her first two by 4 months and had 6 by 9 months. Kids are weird. Lol! My good friend's son didn't get any until like 14 months.

DD has 2 bottom and 2 barely poking out top teeth.

DS seems to have like super wide feet. I shouldn't be surprised, as DD did too. I've been allowing him to walk barefoot everywhere but it's time to get some real shoes. I found a pair of of stride rite at target for beginner walkers on clearance for $17. Unfortunately, he's already in a size 4 due to the chubby feet. What low cost walking shoes do you guys recommend? I have a bunch of second hand Vans but they aren't really good for new walkers.

pixiepink24 - I liked Stride Rites for DS1 when he was younger. They're not the cheapest but they have some decent sales sometimes.

We stayed at my parent's house last night after having a party for my dad and dd1 did not want to go to sleep. She was up until almost 11 and then woke up at 6. She is a ball of energy this morning but I know it's going to be a rough day with her. I wish I drank coffee 😴

pixiepink24 I also liked Stride Rites when DS was younger. But I don't think I could ever pay full price for them! I got a couple pair on a great sale back when they were closing stores. I would totally check FB Marketplace! Stride Rite makes that "Surprize" brand for Target that should have the same soft sole good for early walkers, but the overall quality is definitely not as good. My DD has been wearing a size 4 pair of DS's Keen sandles occasionally this summer. They're really only a little bit big on her! She's not walking yet so they're fine for just standing outside at the water table and stuff.

tbirdlove Yes, that's the ones we got at Target! They were on clearance for only $17 which I thought was good. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for baby shoes probably.

Went to The Big Latch On event today in ATL. Got a fun goodie bag filled with free stuff. I was sad I didn't win the Tula in the raffle, but I ate yummy boobie cookies!

There was a Big Latch On event at the park walking distance from my house yesterday morning. I wanted to go and had planned on it, but DD was up too many times the night before and I was too exhausted to go 😞 I was bummed.

Well we tried some shoes on dd2 today and her foot didn't fit in the size 2s at all and the size 4s actually fit 😮

brenna Looks like we all have some big feet babies! Lol! I went ahead and sold some of the shoes he never got to wear. I hate when that happens.

My DS's first walking shoes were a 3.5, which is probably more what DD actually needs. DS was probably about her age when I bought those first shoes for him. But the Keens are really easy to put on and I think they are a little more gender neutral than his other pairs, so I just grabbed those out of the closet for her. I was surprised too when they weren't super huge on her!

DS1 will be 3 on 9/13. I finally see the first corner of a 2 year old molar about to break through! Maybe teeth are partly to blame for him being such a grump the past week and a half.

I just tried on a pair of size 2 Nikes my SIL got for C and they fit! He's such a little peanut. The shoes I got for DD when she was first walking were the Surprize ones, they were one of the few brands that made size 3.5.

C is having rough nights again. Not sure if it's yet another tooth (he has 5 already), or if it's just brain/physical development (he's trying to let go for a few seconds while standing and started hands and knees crawling). Last night I gave him Motrin and it didn't seem to help much, he was up every hour and wouldn't go back in the crib, and was restless sleeping with me in the bed and wanted to nurse all damn night.
On the upside, at least DD is finally staying in her bed and not coming in with us MOTN. I made her a reward chart and it's been two weeks since she last came into bed with us. She got to pick her reward last night and instead of going to Claire's to pick something out like promised, she asked to go on the bungee jumper at the mall (it's like a trampoline and they attach the kid to a big bungee harness so they can jump super high. Kid's such a daredevil! She's so small she could barely reach the trampoline and the woman running it was just pulling her down and flinging her into the air lol.

I forgot how funny it is when they first start letting go and standing unassisted! Like, when they're standing doing something and just absentmindedly use both hands and don't even realize that they're standing there without holding on 😄 DD did it for the first time tonight! She was "helping" while I was loading the dishwasher and was standing beside the open dishwasher playing with plastic lids from the bottom rack. She was playing with one, then randomly picked up another with the other hand and was just standing there with her lids! I was watching her like 😯!! and she had this look like 'what, Mom?'. Then she even handed me one of the lids before she realized what was going on and she held on again!! She must've stood there for 10 seconds or so.

DD could have walked by herself over a month ago but freaks out if she's not holding both your hands. Tonight dh said she took probably 7 or 8 steps by herself though! 😀

I wish I could figure out this baby's sleep. He has a few rough nights in a row and barely sleeps, and then the next two nights he sleeps from 12-7 and 11-7 straight. Last night he went down for a late nap at 5:30, then woke up at 11, I nursed him and he fell back asleep and slept till 7am. He must be doing some major growing or something.
Going to pick up a play yard gate after work from the local yard sale site. We need a baby jail to keep him out of the bathrooms and the dog's water bowl and the cords and every other blessed thing he shouldn't get into. He'll prob be mad about it, but at least he'll have some space to play while we get things done.

We are heading out to Seattle for the weekend and leaving the girls with my parents. It's the first time I'll be away from dd2 and I'm actually really looking forward to not being mom for the weekend and I'm hoping dh and I can reconnect a bit. I know our girls are in good hands so I'm not worried at all, just super excited! 😀
