Wait are 24mo and 2T different? Target just goes from 18mo to 2T. I haven't been back to Carter's lately because the Target stuff fits N better, but maybe if they have 24mo shorts I can get a few to bridge? I think I was told that the baby sizes are the range with the number being the upper age. Like 24 mo is really 18-24 mo. Once you reach the toddler Ts, it’s for that year. 2T is for year 2, 3T is for year 3. there is very little difference in 24 mo vs 2T because the growth slows some. Ohhh, this makes sense! DD is chunky, definitely needs the 2T for the width more than length. Happy birthday to your big lil guy quinn. Potty training is going pretty well, pull ups when we go out because she gets too distracted to give us any notice. But she woke up in the night last night and wanted to get up to pee, and did (which is annoying, haha), and also went this morning with my prompting, so feeling more successful than yesterday!

I also couldn’t fall asleep last night and had meetings all day long so I am dragging tonight. Bedtime can’t come soon enough so I can go to sleep too. Haha.

I went to bed at 8pm last night, it was glorious! Amazing! DH and I BOTH slept through our alarm this morning, it was strange, so we must be tired too. Thankfully we typically get up at 6 and don't have to leave until 7:30 and I looked at the clock at 6:30 so we still had enough time. DD was still sleeping too. Sadly I feel like we're already taking the turn into fall, it was cooler out last night and is getting darker earlier and staying darker in the morning

Hi, all. I realized I haven’t checked into randoms in a bit. We had FIL’s service today. It went well. I don’t think it will truly hit everyone until we try to return to normal life. Especially MIL- when we leave, especially H, it will be hard.
Things are otherwise going okay. The girls did great. DD2 wanted to run around but my dad helped keep her entertained. Some family is coming over tonight, too.

No other family, but her whole support system other than us is up here. She has a lot of friends, including her best friend and her weekend coffee group. It would be hard for her to leave almost everything she has known for 35+ years. we have seriously discussed moving up here several times, but this is a bigger push for it. My parents are an hour away, and we would like to be closer. I am flying down to home right now to work a few days, and then I’m returning late Saturday night so that I can make the long drive down (in my car, lol, I will be using H’s car for work) with everyone on Sunday. We will discuss it then. It is mostly H’s work keeping us where we are, but we would both have opportunities up here. And there are so many pros to being up here. She already said she would provide child care, as an incentive, hah. If we don’t move, she would visit for long periods of time. Which I’m fine with, but it would be kind of hard for her. I love her dearly and don’t mind her staying with us, though.

I have a somewhat large credit on the airline that has to be used within the next few months, so I booked a first class ticket for this 1.5 hour flight. I plan to have a glass of wine or two. I will be quite busy the next few days, but I don’t have to take care of kids so 👍👍👍. I have a weird day on Friday. I’m taking a long lunch because DD1’s school orientation is at 2 pm on a Friday. 🙄 I guess they assume there is a non working parent in every household? I already kind of knew that due to the lack of after care options, though. Super annoying. Gosh it would be nice to eliminate that issue by moving up to MiL... if we did, I would also find a part time job instead of full time. I need to figure out how to sell H on it.

The boys are all back to school. A took advantage of our time by nursing and sleeping all day Monday and nursing until DS3 got home at noon. Tuesday he was with FIL. Apparently he screamed the whole time and shortly after I left, he posted up on the dining room bench to stare out the window while screaming. Luckily, H got home about an hour after I had to leave. Doubtful FIL will want to watch him solo again.
Today, between nursing sessions, I was hunting for a vacuum attachment. I thought I was looking everywhere. Asked A where it was, as he usually plays with it to pretend he is vacuuming. Sitting here before bedtime and out he pops with the attachment. It was in the dirty laundry basket in the living room.

My kids are crazy. Got confirmation that DS is “very smart and very inquisitive” from his teachers on Monday. Read, we have another handful of a kid. 🤦♀️
He’s also been mimicking DD, including when she cries so her tantrums have become even more unbearable.

ldubhawksfan A gladly joins in when his brothers are being naughty or rambunctious too. For the past month or two, A will cross his arms and huff while lifting them when he is mad or gets into trouble with them, it is so cute.

H is off today and I think we are going to take all of the baby gear and outgrown, gently used clothing to a place that helps mothers and soon to be mothers with the education and supplies they need when they want to keep their babies, but aren’t in a great financial position to do so without help. I feel at peace with this and need to help others in this small way, especially after the week I’ve had.

We have a local house that houses mothers and mothers to be who need support. They focus on young women so most of them need help through and after their pregnancy (they can stay for free until the baby turns one). I’ve been donating all the baby stuff I can to get it out of my house. They also do a free night where anyone who needs items can come and get them. I feel pretty good donating things. Everyone sells stuff on online yard sales now so I find that it’s not worth trying to sell most of my stuff.

Hello! I’ve been super busy this week because I started my new job on Monday. I forgot how mentally taxing it can be to start a new position, train, etc. This kind of work is completely different from what I’ve done in the past so it’s hard to wrap my head around some of my workflow. I think I’ll really like it though!
The boys are good. C copies ds1 too. Ds1 has actually been pretty good lately, now that I think about it, but in the past when he’s thrown tantrums C will sympathy cry. It’s extra fun in the car when they’re both screaming lol.

Can you contact any of the local charities to see if they know of something near by that is similar? Even if you aren’t religious you could probably check with local churches to see if they have any leads. I have given so much stuff, toys, clothes, open packages of diapers, bottles, cups, floor mats, just about you name it.

This one is set up to where doctor appointments, classes, and other available baby related things attended earn points or baby cash. The baby cash (that isn’t what it is called, my memory is horrible) can them be used to purchase available baby items. They were floored with what we brought in, and so appreciative. The gal behind the desk looked at me sideways when I asked if the door could be propped open. LOL, I had all the free space in the van filled with baby gear and Luvs boxes of clothing. Plus, one of DS2’s classmates mother works there. She recognized H & I and said something. So that was fun.

New jobs are so hard on the brain, haha. I'm glad you're liking it! It's rainy and blah here today, it's like fall came early and with a kick in the shin I brought donuts for my team and got myself a LARGE chai tea. It doesn't take much to make me happy, ha! We've had SO MUCH turnover at my work lately, it's taking a huge toll on morale, so I'm trying to do what I can.

It’s my last official day of summer break. I begin again on Monday. My H and I had another visit with the new daycare and it just reaffirmed it is the better place. I will be able to go back to work without worrying.
This afternoon we are continuing our end of summer tradition of going to Friendly’s. It’s a little thing but the boys love going to get an ice cream.

Well DD is a little warm but better today. Called in sick to swim and she is just resting. We are going ahead with our weekend trip to SD. She is really excited about SeaWorld again, so hopefully she is back to 100% tomorrow.
I’m excited about the game tonight. I don’t even really like baseball that much but it’s fun when we go. Dh is stoked it’s Star Wars and beer fest night. We have the company tickets which are killer.
This morning I’ve been packing, doing laundry, and wrangling the kids.

It's my last real day of summer break too. I have new teacher orientation M-W next week and my kids start daycare for the first time ever. E will be in 4's preschool which is fine, but I have some mom guilt about C going to actual DC, something E never experienced.
I'm sitting on my front porch drinking hot coffee and it's so nice!
Also, I did not get the actual health job I was a finalist for, so now I get to teach technology. I'm not thrilled about it, but it is a new class and they keep telling me I can teach whatever I want and make it my very own thing. I'm hoping with some creativity I can make a health technologies class that ends up being cool. I just need to do my own research on some things and I might ask for things like a 3D printer and a class set of HR monitors. We'll see.
